kateunderworld

Oooooo… Kate Beckinsale is back to reprise her role as Selene in the fourth installment in the horror/action hybrid ‘Underworld’ series, ‘Underworld: New Dawn’. Now, at the age of 37 and after skipping out on the third movie, ‘Underworld: Rise of the Lycans’ (which was a hot mess), Kate is as stunning as ever in skin-tight latex body suit and a grey pea coat. The photo above (the first with Kate as Selene) was take in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada where the movie is shooting. You all know how much iGT adores Kate Beckinsale, so its a “no brainer” than we would feature any picture of Kate in some latex. For curious Underworld fans, below is the plot for New Dawn:

After being held in a coma-like state for fifteen years, vampire Selene (Kate Beckinsale) learns that she has a fourteen-year-old vampire/Lycan hybrid daughter, Nissa, and when she finds her they must stop BioCom from creating super Lycans that will kill them all.

BioCom sounds a lot like “The Umbrella Corporation”. Go figure. There no word on the return of Scott Speedman as Michael, but Michael Sheen (Lucian) and Bill Nighy (Viktor) is set to return and actor Michael Ealy (For Colored Girls, FlashForward) will be playing  the lead male role as an FBI agent that is hunting Selene, who later becomes her ally. The team behind, ‘Shelter’, Måns Mårlind and Björn Stein are directing.

‘Underworld: New Dawn’ opens on January 20th, 2012

vampirebatman

Hell yeah! This shit looks so wicked! This is not your typical wussy “Twilight” sparkling vampire. This is BATMAN! Based on “Elseworld Batman” from the “Vampire Trilogy” comes a statue that may cause nightmares if left near your bed. Standing at over seven inches, this mad statue is based on the illustration of Kelley Jones who also did art for the “Vampire Trilogy” such as ‘Batman/Dracula: Red Rain’, ‘Batman: Bloodstorm’, and ‘Batman: Crimson Mist’. What’s really awesome about this piece is the way “Vampire Batman” is rising out of his grave. The tombstone reading “Bruce Wayne” is a nice touch. Sculpted by William Paquet, this statue is made of cold cast porcelain (which sadly breaks very easily) and will be limited edition. That means if you break yours, someone elses’ statue is going up in value. The statue will be available in October (great timing) for under $100!

Bravo Norton Shores, Michigan! Bravo! During last weekends mad rush to theatres by fangirls and fanboys to see New Moon, an incident occurred in a local theatre in Norton Shores. During a screening of New Moon, a 17 year old girl was bitten in the neck by a presumed 45 year old man. During the movie, the culprit was firing off lewd and perverted comments to the teen who was sitting in front of him. Verbal harassments turned into an assault as when the movie ended, the man leaned over and bit her in the neck. Fortunately, his bite didn’t break skin to cause any severe injuries. Unfortunately, the pervert escaped and still at large. It is safe to assume that majority of teen girls (and some boys) that watched New Moon last weekend sat in the theatres dreaming (and probably drooling) over the idea of being bitten by an glittering emo vampire like Edward Cullen. I guess for one teen, that dream turned for the worst. As bad as this event sounds, I can’t help but chuckle a little. Regardless of my personal feeling of the Twilight-verse, I hope this dirty biting bastard gets captured. Sicko.

The Fleshlight WITH BITE!

The vampire popularity has officially crossed the line. Due to the insane fanfare of Twilight and Vampire Diaries, people are producing anything and everything that they can think of that they can cross promote with the vampire craze. Unfortunately, this brings forth some really insane products that makes you go “WTF?”. Introducing, Fleshlight’s “Succu Dry” vampire sex toy in a can. If you aren’t familiar with Fleshlight, Fleshlight is a very popular male sex toy manufacturer. Fleshlight’s gimmick is that sex toys are concealed in container that looks like an ordinary flashlight or 16 ounce can (like one of those giant Monster energy drinks). In an effort to tap into the vampire craze, Fleshlight has created a male sex toy that features a vampire mouth and fangs.

Introducing Succu Dry Sex in a Can from Fleshlight, the world’s first vampire inspired sex toy for men. Take a walk on the dark side and get familiar with this pale brew. But be careful! Though this may feel like love at first bite, make sure you have wood poised to penetrate before you get completely drained! Enjoy to excess to ensure encounters with Succu Dry are A-Positive experience.

Fleshlight also called upon internet model/burlesque dancer, Masuimi Max to be the spokeswomen for Succu Dry. I guess you can’t blame Fleshlight for trying to meet the demands of the legions of vampire fanatics. In my opinion, this is ridiculous and scary as shit.

20090730darkshadowtextBarnabas Collins is a O.V. (Original Vampire). Before the glittering shenanigans of Edward Cullen, Barnabas stalked the streets of Collinsport, Maine. Many of the new generation kids may not know of ‘Dark Shadows’ considering it premiered in 1966 and ended its run it 1971. Originally, the series was planned to run for only 13 weeks, but due to the huge fan following, the series ran for over 4 years. This dark goth soap opera featured episodes with werewolves, ghosts, zombies (hell yes I said zombies!) and other supernatural creatures of the dark. Considering the series aired during the daytime, it had a great run and also produced 2 movies, countless books, and other various projects.

Considering, how old this series is, ‘Dark Shadows’ made a huge splash at the recent San Diego Comic Con, when Tim Burton has announced during his panel for his newest film, ‘Alice in Wonderland’ that he will be collaborating with long time friend (imaginary friend as Burton describes it), Johnny Depp on a ‘Dark Shadows’ feature project. This will be Tim Burton and Johnny Depp’s 8th collaboration (seemed like there were more than that).
