Back in July, the crew at Universal Design Replicas created a pretty cool leather motorcycle suit crafted to look like Batman’s suit in The Dark Knight. For 2010, Universal Design has created a leather motorcycle suit in the design of Wolverine’s outfit from X-Men 2. Considering the epic nature of Bryan Singer’s last X-Men movie, I can’t help but be a bit unimpressed by Universal Design’s newest creation. Don’t get me the wrong. I have complete faith that UDR’s motorcycle suit is both brilliant in function and craftsmanship, but the the less than spectacular faded orange on black didn’t look that great in the movie and in return, not as great as a motorcycle suit. If I saw someone zoom by in the Dark Knight suit, I would definitely be in awe of the epic-ness of that rider, but if I saw the Wolverine suit, I might think… “whadda douche…”
On that note, great things are on the horizons for UDR as they are feverishly designing and fabricating a leather replica of Tony Stark’s Mark V Iron Man suit (yes… the bitchin’ suit case suit from the Monaco scene from Iron Man 2) in time to release with the premiere of Iron Man 2 in May. I’m hopin’ for the best.
BTW, that Wolvie suit is making the guy’s head look really really small… unless he does have a small dome. Than I’m sorry…
