Most have come to destroy us… One has come to save us…
But, phoning home won’t be easy… Because this time…
IT’S OFF THE HOOK!
Oh gawd… Please give me a second so I can stop laughing. Thanks to Robert Blankenheim and Derk Johnson Productions, we finally get to see a trailer worthy of being called the sequel to Steven Spielberg’s ‘E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial’. Using various clips from movies such as ‘Deep Impact’, ‘Mars Attacks!’, and ‘The Dreamcatcher’ and a shit load of editing and digital effects, a mash-up trailer has been made showing us exactly what happened after E.T. returns home from Earth. Similar to ‘War of the Worlds’, the extraterrestrials strike back on Earth set to kill all humans. Humanity’s only hope lies with Elliot and E.T. who returns to Earth to help the humans.
I really have to say that just from watching this trailer, I can tell that the amount of editing that went into making this trailer was a daunting task. However, the end product is freakin’ amazing and funny as hell. I especially love the part with the Reese’s Pieces and the scene pictured above (I won’t spoil it for you…). I wish at one point in the trailer, they cut in Morgan Freeman saying “Shoot this mutha-fucka” from ‘Wanted’. That would have been hilarious.

Finally, the trailer for Matthew Vaughn’s ‘X-Men: First Class’ is out! There has been so much speculation on when the trailer will hit the web and the official Facebook page announced yesterday that the trailer will be released mid-afternoon today! Well, Fox did say they will release the trailer in the afternoon (in the Pacific Time Zone), but even after 2:00PM, there was no update. X-Men fans everyone were getting pretty anxious and impatient. It was a sad fact that Marvel, Fox, and Facebook had a lot of us by the balls for a few hours today. Now the sucker is finally here and from what I have seen so far from the trailer and photos I am quite excited. Michael Fassbender (Inglorious Basterds) looks amazing as a young Magneto and James McAvoy (Wanted) looks the part as the young and wheelchair-less, Professor Xavier. The visuals were simply brilliant and the score was beautiful. Ian McKellen forever will be Magneto in my heart, but Fassbender gave me the chills when I saw the trailer. This film just may be Bryan Singer’s “welcome back” party to Marvel and he deserves our forgiveness for leaving the doors wide open for the franchise to be raped by Brett Ratner (Rush Hour). There is little I can complain about the trailer. Beast looked awesome and you can tell that a lot of effort went into this movie to make it believable within the X-Men fan base. Unfortunately, ‘Wolverine 2′ is going to get the short end of the stick because it will most likely be shit compared to First Class. Also, one of the things that really caught my eye was January Jones (Mad Men) as Emma Frost. Did you see her costume? Ba-zoombas.
‘X-Men: First Class’ is out June 3rd, 2011. Hit the jump to check out the trailer!

The long awaited trailer for Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s (Shaun of the Dead. Hot Fuzz) new comedy, ‘Paul‘ is finally out! This sci-fi comedy adventure looks laugh-out-loud funny with a good mix of slap-stick and witty humor that you usually find from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Also, the very hot Kristin Wiig co-stars in this star studded flick.
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America’s UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever. For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-travelling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town—a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Collings (Frost). Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes.
The feedback from early test screenings from ‘Paul’ has been positive and there is a growing fan base for this movie. If it is anywhere near as funny and clever as Pegg and Frost’s earlier comedy projects, I am sure ‘Paul’ will be great! ‘Paul’ hits theatres on February 14th, 2011. A few months back after San Diego Comic Con 2010, Marvel Studio and Paramount Picture’s official trailer for Thor leaked online due to grubby fans and their digital cameras who all decided to upload their shaky and blurry trailer footage obtained during an exclusive screening onto YouTube. Well, after months of work by the studios to take down any existence of thistrailer, it is now available on Yahoo! officially released by the Marvel and Paramount.
Paramount Pictures and Marvel Entertainment present the epic adventure, “Thor,” which spans the Marvel Universe from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is the mighty Thor (Chris Hemsworth), a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth by his father Odin (Anthony Hopkins) and is forced to live among humans. A beautiful, young scientist, Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), has a profound effect on Thor, as she ultimately becomes his first love. It’s while here on Earth that Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
As you may guess it, it is no different from what was shown at SDCC. Well, the only difference will probably be that the trailer is available in HD and won’t cause motion sickness after viewing. If you still get motion sickness, than you are a sissy and you mind as well stay home when Thor opens in theatres on May 6th 2011. Hit the jump to check out the official movie poster (released yesterday) and the “official trailer” for Thor.

When I first heard that a live action version of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice is being made, I was a bit concerned. Now that I have seen the first trailer for the movie in question, my worries are all gone (almost…). Jon Turtletaub’s loosely adapted modern version of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice features Nicolas Cage as Balthazar Blake who recruits an “apprentice” (played by Jay Baruchel) to fight the forces of evil. Playing the antagonist of the story will be Toby Kebbell who plays a celebrity artist named Drake Stone who joins forces with Horvath (played by Alfred Molina) who has their own agenda to gain power. Couple lovely ladies are included as well. Actress Teresa Palmer will play the Apprentice’s love interest and the voluptuous Monica Bellucci will play Veronica who is a sorceress and a love interest of Balthazar Blake.
The trailer is quiet epic with great special effects of mechanical monstrosities roaming a modern day metropolis. On top of that, apparently Nick Cage can do a Hadouken fire ball. EAT IT DRAGON BALL EVOLUTION! EAT IT! Im NEVER excited about Nick Cage movies, but with the upcoming movie, Kick-Ass and The Sorcerer’s Apprentice, 2010 might be a big (and profitable) year for “The Cage”.
The Sorcerer’s Apprentice drops on July 16th, 2010. Hit the jump to check out the trailer and some official pics from the movie!

No powers? No problem…
Here I am after watching the new teaser trailer for Kick-Ass for the 1oth time. I have to say… I. AM. FREAKIN’. EXCITED! The long awaited teaser was dropped yesterday. If you aren’t aware of what Kick-Ass is, Kick-Ass is a upcoming satiric superhero movie based on comic book written by the infamous Mark Millar and illustrated by John Romita Jr. (also infamous). The comic is still ongoing and published by Marvel. The story follows a New York High School student named Dave Lizewski who is a comic book fan that aspires to be a real superhero. Unlike most comic book fans, he is more than a dreamer. He takes action and becomes a masked vigilante/super hero named “Kick Ass”. Armed with nothing but what god gave him. Absolutely nothing. He has no superpowers or special abilities. His only power is that is just like ever other teenager. Kick Ass’ brave, bold, and ludicrous antics brings upon copycats.
The teaser is quite cool. The trailer does a pretty great job of setting up the premise of the movie along with a roll-call of the bitchin’ characters of the film. The trailer doesn’t give much away and just gives us a small taste of all the “kick ass” action in stored for us. The trailer style was a bit similar to that of Quentin Tarentino’s Inglorious Basterds, but all I can say is this 100 second trailer really gets you pumped up for KICK-ASS!

Our little Andy is all growns up…
Pixar finally released a real trailer for their upcoming feature, Toy Story 3! Unlike the previous teaser where all we see is the toys build the Toy Story 3 logo, this time we get a glimpse of what the story will have in store for us. It is quite brilliant to see the advancements in Pixar’s visuals since Toy Story and Toy Story 2. Unfortunately, it is saddening to see that Andy turned out to be a ungrateful bastard to Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the toys by tossing them aside instead of keeping them. You would figure that these toys were with the kid for all those years, he would have kept them as a keepsake. You can NEVER be too old to play with toys (or at least thats what I tell myself…). It is great to get another Randy Newman song. Hit the jump to see the epic trailer!
