The book was written by Seth Grahame-Smith and the screenplay is written by Seth Grahame-Smith as well. The director is Timur Bekmambetov of ‘Wanted’ fame and the producer of this badassery is none other than Tim Burton. So can a movie titled ‘Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter’ do any wrong. I can’t say it can. Now we get a first look at the posters of the film and I have to say that I got shivers down my spine. Abe is about to destroy some sparkin’ bitches.

Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter opens June 22, 2012. Hit the jump to check out the posters!

Just in case you didn’t know, the picture above is not a screen cap from the movie, but an actual picture of Hot Toys’ ‘Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street’ Movie Masterpiece action figure. I have been a huge fan of the play and Tim Burton’s movie so you can imagine how thrilled I was when Hot Toys announced that their newest “Movie Masterpiece” figure will be of Mister Todd.

Hot Toys loves Johnny Depp. Paying tribute to the award-winning movie Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street directed by Tim Burton which is adapted from the hit Broadway musical, Hot Toys is proud to present the Sweeney Todd Collectible Figure specially crafted based on the image of Johnny Depp as Sweeney Todd in the movie, highlighting the newly sculpted head, highly detailed costume and shaving accessories, movie-accurate barber chair and backdrop of the iconic movie scene.

Like all Hot Toys action figures, Todd will come with a wide assortment of accessories and interchangeable limbs for your preferred customization. Hot Toys plans to release think figure around September-October 2011 and it should go for around $250.

I cannot believe that stuff like this is still finding its way into the light. Gawd, I LOVE IT! A while back, there was a photograph that leaked of actor Nicholas Cage, in what appears to be a conceptual test suit of  director, Tim Burton’s vision of Superman. Well, after all this time, a video is leaked of another suit that was being developed for the now dead ‘Superman Lives‘ project. In the video, what we see (speculated) is a “regeneration” suit that Kal-El uses to heal himself after a near death brush with Doomsday. Many are calling this the “Eradicator” suit and by the looks of it, I can make the connection. Everything from neon lights to reflective material is featured on the suit. From the look of the face on the model, it looks like it was made for Cage. Keep in mind that these were tests so we do not know exactly what the end product would have looked like, but I can assure you that there would have been no faux nipple action on these suits. With ‘Superman Live’s dead and a distant memory, it is fun to be able to laugh and dream about what a Burton-style Superman could have been.

20091215batmobilelimo

Billionaire playboy, Bruce Wayne has a shit load of cash in his trust fund that he can occasionally blow on lavish and incredibly ridiculous junk. Considering majority of his bank is tied up in Wayne Enterprises and his side gig as Gotham’s caped crusader, why not mix the best of both worlds. One fan went bat-shit nutty with an incredible Batmobile stretch limo. Based off of Tim Burton’s rendition of the Batmobile, this limo has all the signature art-deco flares of the Batmobile from the Batman and Batman Returns. Everything from the cool armor plating, batwing stylized fins, and faux twin jet turbine engines are featured on this limo. As much as I loved Burton’s Batmobile, too bad the limo wasn’t themed after the 1960’s Batman television series version. At least the design wasn’t based off of one of Joel Schumacher’s failures. DIE SCHUMACHER! DIE!

Oh, I do love wonderful toys! If you are a Star Wars collectible enthusiast like me, you have heard of Medicom Toys. Medicom has been producing great 12” collectible action figures for many years now. Deemed, “Real Action Heroes” or RAH for short, Medicom has tackled everything from Star Wars to Spider-Man. Next up for Medicom is the Mad Hatter from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland! Ever since I heard rumors of Medicom’s acquisition of the rights to make Alice in Wonderland toys, I was a bit concerned. Even after many years of producing such great toys, Medicom still has trouble with the sculpting of human faces. Of course, the Star Wars RAH figures are quite brilliant, but let’s face it. Sculpting a helmet versus sculpting a human face is very different in the level of difficulty. Its got to a point where upcoming 12 inch action figure designer Hot Toys has been cutting into Medicom’s collector fan base and make a huge name for themselves. With all these worries, it is a relief that the RAH Mad Hatter is mind-blowing epic!

Sideshow is proud to present the Mad Hatter RAH 12-inch Figure by Medicom Toy, celebrating the upcoming Tim Burton film ‘Alice in Wonderland’. Featuring the authentic likeness of Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, this outstanding 1:6 scale figure is of the highest quality and detail, ready to take life on your shelf in any dynamic pose that you desire. Medicom Toy’s RAH body is one of the most articulated 12-inch figure bodies available, capable of nearly any pose that the human body can achieve.

The creative team at Medicom must have been tired of getting their ass whooped by Hot Toys, as they went all out on creating the Hatter. The attention to detail is exquisite and the creepy grin on the Hatter’s face is a mirror image of the Mad Hatter (played by Johnny Depp) in the trailer.

This is definitely a keeper and is going to be a fine addition to any fan of movie and comic collectibles. Hit the jump to see a turn around of this cool figure. Also, don’t forget to preorder now as these RAH figure sell out VERY fast! I already reserved mine.

Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland hits theatres on March 10, 2010!

Before Bryan Singer was signed onto Superman Returns, Tim Burton and Kevin Smith was originally signed on to direct and pen Superman Lives. Probably, due to the insane obsure vision of Tim Burton, the script and team was canned by Warner Bros. Along with script went Nicolas Cage, who was reported to have been cast at Superman. After a decade, we finally get a glimpse of what Superman Lives may have been and it is not pretty. Photos are leaked of Nic Cage in a screen test donning a horrific Superman costume. From the looks of the picture, Nic Cage apparently had to get himself wasted to gain enough courage to wear the outfit. We don’t know if this photo is legit or photoshop tom-foolery, but it kind of makes you wonder whether Superman Lives could have been better than Superman Returns. It is safe to assume that the costume in the photo wasn’t the final product, but that photo is giving me the freakin’ heebie jeebies. Hit the jump to see more conceptual art from Superman Lives.
