Propaganda posters to entice people to join the “Imperial Forces”? I’m down. Pittsburgh, PA. resident, Jeff Confer (known as jpc-art on DeviantArt) has done some amazing ‘Star Wars’ illustrations over the years. His impressive work were even featured on the “Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back 30th Anniversary” sketch cards by TOPPS. Well, maybe that’s why I was so excited when I ran across these on DA. Jeff’s amazing vector work depicts various different types of troopers within the “Imperial Forces” such as Stormtroopers, Snowtroopers, Scout Troopers, and Imperial Guards. His color selection and clean lines really makes these illustrations special.  I find it quite awesome that there’s even a propaganda poster paying tribute to Ralph McQuarrie (see second picture below). Of course, you cannot have a propaganda poster series without Darth Vader. Darth Vader is is featured with his lightsaber drawn and fist held high demanding people to join or die. I figure joining and taking my chances against some Rebels is a better option that getting “force choked” by the Sith Lord.

Hands down, this is the most impressive theater room I have ever seen. Located in a 10,000+ square foot Hawaiian home, Acoustic Innovations of Boca Raton, FL completely decked out this home theater room in tribute to ‘Star Wars’. Featuring six amazing flat-panel HDTVs and a touchscreen remote from Crestron that lets you control everything with one single remote. To make the room convincing that it belongs in a starship, the room has a three-dimensional fiber optic scarscape ceiling along with motorized pocket doors. The best part of the whole room is the 107 inch curved anamorphic display from Stewart Filmscreen that is used with a Runco DLP projector that is hidden in the back. My favorite feature of the room is probably the life-size replica R2-D2 and C-3PO that talks to the guests. If there was even a small chance I wouldn’t get caught, I would definitely break into this house.

Bonk chicka wa wa! AVN Director of the Year Axel Braun is responsible for some of the geekiest porn parodies ever. He was the man responsible for the Superman and Batman XXX porn parodies. Well, we knew his next project was going to be the long (not pun intended) awaited, ‘Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody’. Well, a couple days ago, Vivid and Braun has finally announced the cast for Star Wars XXX. It took Braun over three days and auditioned 8o actors and actresses to come (no pun intended) to his final pick. Here is the line up:

2011 AVN Best New Starlet nominee Allie Haze as Princess Leia
Michael Vegas as Luke Skywalker
Rocco Reed as Han Solo
2011 AVN Best Actor Tom Byron as Obi-Wan Kenobi
Alec Knight as Chewbacca
and the previously announced Lexington Steele as Darth Vader

The only thing I can take from this announcement is the name, Chewbacca. CHEW-FREAKIN’-BACCA! Can you believe that Axel Braun has confirmed that “Chewy will have sex”. My mind has been blown (no pun intended). I’m not really sure what to think of this. I find porn parodies to be pretty funny considering I’m not much of a fan of regular pornography (I’m not lying… I prefer glamour photos), but I am taken back that my favorite Wookiee is going to get “down and dirty” in this movie. Princess Leia and Han Solo getting it on is one thing, but Chewbacca? Is this considered borderline beastility? I’m not sure whether I want to laugh or cry.  I need to sit down and think about this. Maybe I shouldn’t. I JUST DON’T KNOW! I hope there is no puppet sex with Yoda cause that might be a whole another level of fucked up.

Production on Star Wars XXX will start on April 18, 2011. The 14 day shoot will take place in various locations around California. The movie will be produced by Alex Braun Productions and distributed through Vivid Entertainment. God help us all.

I love these odd ball ‘Star Wars’ illustrations! Illustrator, Jesse Lonergan put together a stellar collection of various Star Wars characters dancing their asses off. Titled “Dance with the Star Wars”, Jesse depicts various Rebel Alliance and Imperial Force soldiers ripping it on the dance floor. It is something about a Stormtrooper or Rebel soldier shakin’ what their momma’s gave them that makes them real sexy. Jesse’s simple, but elegant illustrations kind of reminds me of the days when I was young Sith-ling checking out the latest comic strips in the Sunday newspaper at breakfast. The illustrations are a bit innocent and whimsical. You almost forget that these two factions are at war with each other than wouldn’t hesitate to blast the other. My favorite has to be the Stormtrooper shreading on a guitar with this shirt off and the Jawa sporting a boombox. I guess music and dancing really brings even the worst enemies together. I would figure that Wookiees would be mean on the dance floor as well. Can you imagine Chewie doing the “Snoopy dance”? Well, wouldn’t that nice!?

This is so awesome. Apparel designer/illustrator, Atomic Child (based in Denver, Colorado) newest creation “Teen Wook” is getting the spotlight over at TeeFury. A cool mash-up of ‘Teen Wolf’ and Chewbacca from ‘Star Wars’.

Tired of being relegated to the role of sidekicks, Wookie-kind took their talents to the NBA where their height and team spirit allowed them to earn million-dollar contracts and throngs of adoring fans.

It is pretty obvious that a Wookiee like Chewie would be extraordinary in the NBA. He is big enough to play center and would be amazing on defense. Especially if stacked up against guys like Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic. The problem I see would be the fact that Chewie would probably get ejected from every game for ripping off a ref’s arms and beating him with it for a ball call. Also, no matter what you say, Chewbacca would be a Los Angeles Laker. Trust me on that.

As usual, the ‘Teen Wook’ tee will only be on sale for 24 hours today (March 17, 2011)

Where to buy: TeeFury

“Star Wars recreated … by me and Nick Frost. Not as good as the original but on a par with The Phantom Menace” – Simon Pegg

When I first watched ‘Shaun of the Dead’ and ‘Hot Fuzz’ years ago, I always thought Simon Pegg (@simonpegg) and Nick Frost (@nickjfrost) as a real life version of R2-D2 and C-3P0. There are not that many witty comedic duos like Pegg and Frost and it shows in the new College Humor original video. Apparently (based on what was mentioned on the video), Pegg and Frost tried to replicate ‘Star Wars’ shot by shot and they only were able to manage one scene. Costumed as ridiculously as possible (it might be a trash can lid on Frost’s head), Pegg and Frost play C-3po and Artoo in the scene where they search for Obi-Wan Kenobi in the deserts of Tatooine. Well, due to their bickering (just like the Droid duo) they can’t even manage a walk through the desert. I hope there will be more scenes in the future.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost stars in ‘Paul’ and it opens on March 18th, 2011. Hit the jump to check out Pegg and Frost’s ‘Star Wars’

I don’t think there is anyone on television as witty as Stephen Colbert (of ‘The Colbert Report’ on Comedy Central). So it wasn’t a surprise to me when he blasted Mike Hukabee regarding his rude public comments about Natalie Portman being an bad example of the problem with people having a child out of wedlock. With Hukabee’s conservative views came a “hucka-bomb” by Colbert regarding Hukabee’s possible alliance to the Sith from ‘Star Wars’.

“Look, I’m no fan of single mothers either. But it’s Natalie Portman we’re talking about. That kid she’s pregnant with is Luke Skywalker! So logically, if you’re against her pregnancy that means you’ve aligned yourself politically with Emperor Palpatine. You’re alienating all of Tatooine. It’s a swing planet.”

Colbert, you witty bastard. It made no sense, and made complete sense. I guess that is the genius of Stephen Colbert. BTW: The Sith wouldn’t accept Hukabee either. Sith loves people who take responsibility for their children.
