Maybe it’s because it’s Monday and I’m too lazy to write about anything that really matters so when I can across this trippy video of an Imperial AT-AT shaking it ass and humping the air from Peepholelicious, you know I couldn’t resist. I would suggest that you get loaded up on a pint of scotch before hitting this video hard. I think the scotch will just enhance the experience. Drink up and enjoy!

As a geek and a new homeowner, I always want to find a new way to geekify my home. Well, it looks like two amazing ‘Star Wars’ fans had the same thing in mind as they created an awesome custom outdoor smoker and garage bin made to look like our favorite astrometric droid, R2-D2! The smoker created by Philip Wise of The New Wookiee Workshop is my favorite of the two. Why you say? It just might be because it’s will smoke some delicious meat and I LOVE BBQ. Ribs, pulled pork, smoked salmon, yadda yadda yadda. I will eat it ALL! The garbage bin (creator unknown) seems to get the short end of that stick as I’ll be throwing away crap into it.

Let’s face it. Tiffany-style stained glass lamps hasn’t been cool in over a decade. The style is a bit outdated and it doesn’t fit in most modern households. Well, what if someone made a stained glass lamp to look like Boba Fett’s iconic helmet from ‘Star Wars’? That someone is Michael McLane (AKA mclanememories on DeviantArt).
After several years away, I have a new project done to post. I have ventured back into working with stained glass. My father taught me how to work with the media a number of years ago and I have finally turned to working with it. This is the first post-worthy project I have completed. It is a desk lamp cut and assembled in the tiffany style. It is based off of the dimensions of the actual Boba Fett prop helmet and actually fits (if anyone wanted to wear it). I have not counted the number of pieces but the green crown has 200+ just in itself.
All I can say is “wow”. Would I be willing to have this in my house? Yes. Would I be willing to wear it while lit? Fuck yes! It’s just THAT cool. Amazing work Michael!

I have to admit that when I first came across Jay Hoff’s amazing ‘Star Wars’ LEGO diorama of Emperor Palpatine arriving in the Death Star, I kind of screamed and than teared up a bit. It is THAT beautiful! Jay created this amazing diorama using over 30,000 LEGO blocks and characters and was created for “Science Discovery Day” at Berkeley Preparatory School in Tampa, Florida. I’m not sure exactly what this diorama has to do with science or discovery, but I’m not complaining. I have to ask one thing though. Who’s going to close the hanger doors? I’m not sure if Darth Vader is going to be pleased to know that majority of his Imperial forces is floating out in space.

Wow. Who and how did this behind-the-scene video from ‘Return of the Jedi’ hit the web? The video features puppeteer, Tim Rose testing out a Admiral Ackbar puppet by moving the mouth to match with the word “penetrate”. Now, I do have to ask how the word “penetrate” will help with performing with a puppet, but I’m not a master puppeteer so what would I know. All I know is the Admiral Ackbar constantly saying “penetrate” seems a bit dirty. Who knew that Ackbar was a sexual deviant?!

It makes a lot of sense. ‘Star Wars’ is popular and so is “papercraft”. So it makes perfect sense to have Star Wars themed papercraft sculptures. It’s really easy to go to the toy store and just fork over a few bucks to get a model Imperial AT-AT or TIE Fighter, but it takes real skill to make one out of paper. I do realize that making something from scratch seems like a daunting task for many (including myself) and most people would not even try. Well, thanks to SF Papercraft, they provide you an easy way to creating some amazing papercraft sculptures. SFP has templates and instructions that you can print so that you can build cool papercraft Star Wars vehicles such as the Millennium Falcon and a Jawa Sand Crawler. As long as you have a decent color printer and a steady hand, you should be able to put one of these together like a pro.

Holy crap this is so freaking awesome. Some awesome bastard created a stop-motion flick that retells the whole ‘Star Wars’ original trilogy story (A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi, in LEGO form in two minutes. Whats makes this fan-made film so awesome has to be three things. First, the pace is quick and straight to the point. Even though about six hours was condensed down to two minutes, the most important parts are included. Second, the narration was hilarious. I don’t know who the kid was that did the narration, but someone get him a job! Third, the iconic music of Star Wars redone on an electric guitar was a nice touch. I definitely enjoyed the nice rifts they got going in the beginning and ending. Now, stop reading and hit the jump and enjoy this awesome fan-made stop motion Star Wars film!
