Awesome! Moleskine, who are known for creating “legendary notebooks” will be releasing new ‘Star Wars’ themed Moleskine notebooks. Available in plain and ruled paper, these notebooks will feature an awesome ‘Star Wars’ graphic including the iconic “text crawl” and “hyperdrive” graphics and metallic embossed logos. Each of these Moleskine journals will cost you $15-20 pending on the size and are available in Moleskine’s web store.

Also, to promote the new Star Wars collection, Moleskine created a cool stop-motion video featuring origami X-Wings and TIE fighters in the middle of a dogfight. Pretty bad ass in my opinion.

Do you dream about the Dark Side? I do. I dream about it all the time. That is probably the only time I can get a good night rest. While my dream includes punching Ewoks in the face and using the Death Star to blow up Endor, photographer Marie-Louise Cadosch has a different dream in mind. In this photograph collection titled “Dream of the Dark Side”, the photos follows the dream of a girl (modeled by Maura Waller) who happens to be a flesh-colored Twi’leek (which is freakin’ me out a bit) flirting with Darth Vader. Unfortunately, Vader is not amused and one confused Stormtrooper finds out what happens to people that try to seduce the Sith Lord. Twi’leeks dont get much of a break in the Star Wars universe do they?

destroyedalderaan

Nothing like a pile of rocks to make children go ape-shit during Christmas. Especially if these rocks are from a ‘Star Wars’ Destroyed Alderaan action playset. The things I would do with this playset. Throw it… yeah… I have nothing…

thirtythree

August Jeske. I find you to be one bad ass mofo. August (known as timeyodie on Youtube) put together a pretty amazing voice reel of thirty three different characters from ‘Star Wars’. The best part is probably August’s adlibbing throughout the voice reel. Also, I found the banter from Alec Guinness’ Obi Wan Kenobi to Ewan MacGregor’s version to be quite hilarious. August is truly a man of many talents and facial contortions. I applaud you sir.

I have good news and bad news.
First the good news. If you are into urban designer/lifestyle/street tees, that you should know about Japanese clothing company, Bathing Ape (AKA Bape) created by Nigo. Well, now the creative minds behind Bape will be working with the creative minds behind ‘Star Wars’ to create a cool new collection of men’s, ladies’, and junior tees of your favorite Star Wars characters with a Bathing Ape twist to be released in the United Kingdom. Here’s the bad news. It’s only going to be released in stores exclusively in the UK. There is no plans to release these tees online or stateside. What a bitch… Regardless, these tees are pretty awesome and I’m pretty sure some bastard in the UK will be selling these on eBay for  really high price. Oh well.

We all had world history at one time or another while going to school. I have fond memories of learning about the various wars throughout history in class. I remember looking at hundreds of photos from different wars such as World War II and imagine what it might have been like if I was there. Well, what if the different factions of ‘Star Wars’ participated in various wars throughout history? Can you imagine seeing Imperial AT-AT walkers fighting alongside infantry units and tanks and seeing TIE fighters soar through the sky chasing down spitfire fighter planes? Now, that would have made class much more interesting.

easybeinggreen

I guess being small and green isn’t an easy life. Maybe that is the bond between ‘Muppets’ Kermit the Frog and Jedi master Yoda of ‘Star Wars’. Beautifully illustrated by Peter de Sèves, we find an unlikely pairing between the two green icons of pop culture and cinema. The weirdest part of this illustration has to be the uncanny resemblance between the two to each other. Perhaps, long lost Father and son? LMAO
