If you collect ‘Star Wars’ toys like I do, you know that collecting all the different Stormtrooper and Clonetroopers becomes a bit tedious. Especially, when they all look a like. So it’s a breath of fresh air to finally add an unique piece to your collection that doesn’t look like the rest. Enter Sideshow Collectibles newest addition to their ever so popular line, Militaries of Star Wars, Commander Bacara!

Commander Bacara, also known by the numerical designation 1138, was a clone commander who worked alongside General Ki-Adi-Mundi against Separatist droid armies on the Outer Rim planet Mygeeto. Though he fought alongside the Jedi in numerous battles, Bacara’s ultimate loyalty was to the Republic and its Supreme Chancellor. When Palpatine contacted him personally and executed Order 66, Bacara carried out the command without question. He and his fellow Galactic Marines opened fire on Ki-Adi-Mundi, killing their general.

Probably sporting one of the most wicked helmet in the Clonetrooper collection, Bacara has that signature flare that characters like Commander Cody and Captain Rex has. Commander Bacara will be a great addition to any growing Star Wars toy collection! You can preorder one now for $134.99 and will release during the Spring of 2012!

If you follow my Twitter or my blog, you know how much I turn into a little fan girl when it comes to ‘TRON: Legacy’. So after almost one year since the release of the film in theatres, Sideshow Collectibles and Quantum Creation FX is rolling out a 1:4 scale maquette statue of my favorite character from the film, Rinzler!

In partnership with Quantum Creation FX, Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present from ‘TRON: Legacy’ the Rinzler Maquette. Capturing the masked enforcer of The Grid, each piece is individually painted and finished, with its own unique quality and detail that is the trademark of a handcrafted Sideshow Collectibles product. Presented in approximately 1:4 Scale and featuring LED light-up suit, base, and identity disks, the Rinzler Maquette is the perfect addition to any collection.

Rinzler will be out in the first quarter of 2012 and will cost you a little over 300 bucks. Is that expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Fuck yes. Now, please excuse me as I have to go and change my pants. I got a bit too excited.

“It’s always cold in Siberia…

Thanks to Sideshow Collectibles, we are finally getting to see our favorite titanium chastity belt wearin’ Russian merc, Molotov Cocktease from ‘The Venture Bros.’ in statue form. Sideshow’s first release from The Venture Bros. was Brock Samson and from the looks of it, there wasn’t that many takers. Most likely because the girls are the best characters from the animated series. The official details for Molotov won’t be available until this Thursday (April 28th), but from the looks of it, this statue will be around $200-250 and will release in at the end of the year. All we need is Dr. Girlfriend and I can die happy. I’ll follow up on this Molotov statue once the official details are released.

Wow. What a sick beast. Sideshow Collectibles released a sneak peak into an awesome Venom life-size scale bust that will be going online for sale (actually more like preorders) starting this Thursday (2/10/2011). This is a much better follow up to Sideshow’s previously released Carnage life-size bust. Just from the looks of it, its going to sit at over two feet and easily weigh over 30 lbs. The best part of this bust has to be the tongue. Unlike a lot of Venom statues that are on the market that failed at recreating Venom’s signature tongue, Sideshow’s is spiny and creepy as hell. Just like Venom. The Venom life-size scale bust will definitely be limited and will released in the fall. Expect to turn over $599.99 for this beaut.

I think I just wet my pants. Sideshow Collectibles is bustin’ out the big guns for the much anticipated sequel, Iron Man 2. Sideshow collaborated with Legacy effects to create a stunning Iron Man 2 Mark VI maquette.

With his identity as Iron Man exposed, Tony Stark now faces government pressure to share his armor technology with the military. Fearing that his powerful invention will be corrupted, Stark is unwilling to hand over the Iron Man technology. Stark must now forge new alliances and face powerful new enemies with Pepper Pots and James “Rhodey” Rhodes on his side.

Standing at an insane 17 inches tall, this bad ass statues features a shit load of bells and whistles such as LED powered light up action for Iron Man’s repulsor gloves, arc-reactor/uni-beam, and glowing eyes.

Sideshow Collectibles and Legacy Effects are proud to bring you the Iron Man Mark VI Maquette from the highly anticipated Iron Man 2 film. Sideshow’s team collaborated with Legacy Effects to create this incredible maquette, which was used to develop the original screen-used costume, capturing the awesome detail of Iron Man’s legendary armor. Each piece is individually painted and finished, each with its own unique quality and detail that is the trademark of a handcrafted Sideshow Collectibles product. LED light-up eyes, repulsor hands and heart add incredible realism (battery operated function TBD). The Iron Man Mark VI Maquette is the perfect addition to any display.

This statue will definitely be a highly sought after collectible and as most Sideshow collectibles go, these will sell out before they release in the Winter. Even at a high price point of a little under 400 dollaroos, knowing Sideshow’s reputation, you surely are getting the most bang for your buck.
