Sporting a pimped out Toyota Corolla Axio, Team Evangelion made their debut (back in early May) at the 3rd round of the Super GT racing series which was held at Fuji Speedway Circuit. Even with a highly respectable ninth place finish, the real crowd pleaser was by race queens, Noa Mizutani and Yuuna Chiba. Donning “race queen” version of the entry plug suits made famous in Gainex’s Neon Genesis Evangelion anime, these gals where the perfect duo to compliment the EVA Unit 01 inspired race car. Even the driver’s race suits are designed to look like Shinji Ikari’s entry plug suit as well. Lately, a lot of anime studios and merchandise companies has become very fond of sponsoring Super GT race teams so why not have Rei and Asuka cheering on their team track side? With these lovely cosplay race queens at the races, I doubt people will be paying much attention to the race. Just in case you were wondering, Noa is cosplaying Rei Ayanami (on right) and Yunna is Asuka Langley Soryu (on left).

Considering, I’ve been a huge fan of NASCAR and World Rally Championship, I kinda wish there was a possibility of something like “Team EVA” making it over to the United States. I would definitely be more interesting to watch in my opinion. I would rather look at couple cute race queens in sexy costumes versus some drunk ass douche in a sweaty fucking sleeveless shirt with a huge beer belly. Bleh~

Ever wonder what it would be like if the ladies of Marvel ever worked as a stripper exotic dancer? (LMAO!) Look no further as costume designer/manufacturer Disguise (a division of Jakks Pacific), will be releasing a new costume line called “Women of Marvel Collection”. Considering Disguise has been known for more conservative character costumes in the past (including Fantastic Four and Iron Man), they are adding a bit of sex appeal (ya, cause sex sells right?) to attract a bit of an older audience.

Inspired by some of the most well known Marvel super heroes we have created a line of fashion forward costumes for women and girls who have the desire to be fun and playful for Halloween. Who says comic books are only for boys because with great power comes great style. Great to team up with a few of your fellow super heroines to save the world.

The first wave of “Women of Marvel” costumes will include Black Cat, Emma Frost, Spider-Girl (both classic and black versions), and American Dream of A-Next.

“We continually look for ways to broaden the awareness of and maximise the potential of the Marvel universe among all audiences, and the launch of the Women of Marvel collection addresses the growing demand across the female demographic with high quality, fashion forward merchandise featuring the most relevant Marvel brands,” said Paul Gitter, president of consumer products, North America for Marvel.

Steve Stanley, co-president of Disguise, added: “With the Women of Marvel collection, we created more than just a costume, we aimed to deliver a fun and magical experience with fashionable, stylised outfits that make women feel like they can truly save the world.”

All I know is if you’re going to be wearing one of these costumes on Halloween, don’t expect candy. You may be coming home with a bag full of single dollar bills. Hit the jump to see some of these sexy costumes!

20090806surrogates01I driving to work to work this morning, when I was racing through Los Angeles traffic, a billboard caught my eye. At first I figured it was a new billboard advertising a gentlemen’s club in LA (those are rampant around the city), until I took a second look to see something odd.

What I failed to realize during my first glance was that it was a billboard promoting Bruce Willis’ newest sci-fi action thriller, ‘Surrogates’. I have seen the trailer months ago, so I have been on board for a while now, but billboard was quite interesting to look at.

Of course, when I saw it while driving, I only saw a glimpse of it, but thanks to IGN, I was able to take a closer look.

My first reaction when I saw the billboard was something is the area of, “She’s so hot…”, yet after getting a closer look, my reaction turned into, “Ewww…”. I was quite shocked from my second reaction considering the fact that just moments before, I was “oogling” at the female in the billboard.

Maybe its the exposed spinal cord. I’m not sure. My final conclusion? It’s scary as hell.

What’s is your reaction? Also, does this ad look familiar?

[Official trailer + more robo goodness]

I have been to a lot of conventions over the years and I would have to say that the female cosplayers at San Diego Comic Con 2009 really set the bar high this year. Considering the amount of different cosplayers I have seen over the years, I am rarely ever surprised, however, this year, I couldn’t keep my eyes off of them (yeah… I stared….).
Of course, there were the unavoidable horrendous cosplayers at SDCC that made me want to tears my eyes out with a Dr. Who sonic screwdriver, but the majority of the cosplay girls this year were brilliant and sexy.
