One of the things I love to collect is movie posters. Especially when it comes to the epic magnitude of the first Iron Man 2 poster. The net has been flooded in the past few months over what the new Iron Man and teased War Machine will look like. Everything from leaked photos of the action figures to conceptual drawings has been exposed to see the brilliant new armor designs. Now we get a first official look of the men in armor together in a beautiful movie poster. I’m going to speculate (there’s that word again…) that the Iron Man featured in this poster is the Mark V suit. The movie has been rumored to featured up to a Mark VI suit which makes me very excited. The Iron Man suit in the poster seems the same as the Mark III suit in the first movie, but a closer look shows small differences such as a new triangular chest plate around the arc reactor. Of course, there are images of a Iron Man suit with a triangular arc reactor so I will have to suspect that there are more armor-goodness surprises in store for us. Behind the “main man” is his grayscale counterpart, War Machine. He is a devious lookin’ fellow. Will there be a confrontation or even a battle between the man in red versus the man in black? I hope so. More “stuff blowin’ up” is ALWAYS a plus in my book. HURRAH!

New suit. New enemies. Same attitude.

Why not start 2010 with a bang! Empire Magazine has released their January 2010 cover which will feature the hot rod red and gold Avenger, Iron Man from the upcoming Iron Man 2 movie starring Robert Downey Jr. Proclaiming that Iron Man will be the king of 2010, the cover features what may be the Mark IV Iron Man suit that will debut in the beginning of the movie. There is already speculation that the movie will feature three new suits which will go up to Mark VI. Majority of the information regarding the designs of the new suits along with War Machine is lock up tight by Paramount and Marvel Studios, however it is safe to say that once Iron Man 2 drops on May 7th, 2010, we are in for a treat. The Iron Man 2 issue will feature an inside scoop from the set and also behind the scene photos of Tony Stark and the rest of the cast.

If you’re like me, then you just cannot wait for Iron Man 2 to be released. Your inability to wait for official footage makes you are prone to sit through a bootleg cam of any Iron Man 2 footage you can get your grubby fingers on. Even if the constant shaking and polyphonic sounds causes you motion sickness, it is well worth it.

Why sick through such crappy footage you may ask? Cause it Iron-freaking-Man!

I’m usually worried whether a great comic book based movie can hold up in a sequel without a origins storyline. Of course, Dark Knight was tremendous and much better than that of ‘Batman Begins’, but some movies have failed to capture the brilliance of the original movie.
That being said, some movies just fail from the beginning like “The Hulk”.

Either way, Iron Man 2 (based on the footage) looks like a sick ride and I trust its going to be as epic as the first.

Watch it before Marvel legal department takes the sucker down.
