Okay, so this video was released almost one year ago, but it seems that many people still do not know about “AT-AT Day Afternoon”. Well, considering it seems like an “AT-AT” kind of day, I decided why not post it now (note: I didn’t post this when it first released because I was on my hiatus) for everyone to watch and enjoy. “AT-AT Day Afternoon” is a mix of live action and stop motion animation created by Patrick Boivin. Patrick Boivin was the mastermind behind “Iron Baby” and “Black Widow Gone Wild“. Well, the idea for this video stems from his childhood.
When I was a kid, there are two things I wanted badly and never got… A real dog and a Kenner AT-AT Walker.
Who wouldn’t want an AT-AT as a pet. It would be freakin’ amazing, wouldn’t it? Someone to keep you company on lonely days, while hunting and chasing out Rebel infantry units that invade your home. Imperial All Terrain Armored Transport is man’s best friend? I sure think so.

The czar of fan-made stop-motion animation using action figures has to be Patrick Boivin (the creator behind “Iron Baby“). Boivin’s newest stop motion short titled, “Black Widow Gone Wild” stars the ‘Iron Man 2′ Black Widow (Scarlet Johannson) movie masterpiece action figure from Hot Toys. Through-out the short, Black Widow beats the shit out of some baddies and some heroes including the T-1000 from ‘Terminator 2: Judgement Day”, Batman from ‘The Dark Knight’, Superman from ‘Superman Returns’, and even Michael Jackson. It seems that Black Widow is having one seriously shitty day and she just felt like punching some faces and kicking some balls. From the looks of it, Boivin is getting better and better. I can’t wait to checkout his next creation.

If you weren’t aware, I took a week off from iGT to get hitched to the love of my life, Mrs. Geektrooper, so be patient with me if some of these posts are dirt old. Canadian director, Patrick Boivin is well known on the web for his epic stop motion mini-films such as “Iron Man Versus Bruce Lee” and “Transformers Bumblebee Boy“. Well, this time around, Patrick tries something new and created an epic parody of director Jon Favreau’s Iron Man film. Dubbed “Iron Baby“, Patrick replaces Tony Stark with a little cute tyke that whips terrorist bunny ass in a Mark III Iron Man suit made for an infant. Patrick did an amazing job with big budget film quality production and CGI effects. It was so awesome that even Jon Favreau had to plug “Iron Baby” on his Twitter. You will definitely fall in love with this little baby and you may wonder who she is. Her name is Marguerite Bulte Boivin, who is Patrick’s baby daughter. Yes. Iron Baby is a girl. Sooo kyoot!
