This cracks me up. The group behind ‘Inglourious Plummers‘ and ‘God of War Indie Movie Trailer‘ just released their newest creation ‘The Legend of Zelda (1987) Trailer’. Basically, what would it be like if a Legend of Zelda movie was created by a director like John Hughes back in the 80’s.
In this charming critically-acclaimed tale of first love, Link (Jon Tomlinson), an eternal optimist and adventurer, seeks to capture the heart of Zelda, an unattainable high school beauty and straight-A student (Zane Bauer). He surprises just about everyone-including himself-when she returns the sentiment. But the high school’s over-possessive, megalomaniacal Principal Ganondorf (Dominic Moschitti) doesn’t approve and it’s going to take more than just the power of love to conquer all.
Perfectly capturing the essence of what it means to be a teenager in the 80s, Nick Murphy, Mike Sadorf, and Dom Moschitti reimagine one of the most celebrated video game franchises of all time with the heart, charm, and wit that only they could. It’s the legend of high school. It’s the legend of love. It’s The Legend of Zelda.
What’s pretty cool is the distorted quality of the video takes me back to the days when I was a kid watching movies on a crappy VHS player (freakin’ kids these days are spoiled with their fancy schmancy HD blu-ray players). It also cracks me up when I see Link in a parody of a scene from classic movies such as ‘The Breakfast Club’ and ‘Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’. Considering it hurt my eyes a bit to watch this trailer (okay… even I’m HD spoiled), I can’t help but appreciate the creativity behind the team that produced this film. I hope there will be more in the future.

Get lost kid…
Those are not words that you want to yell at a kid… unless you are everyone’s favorite “merc with a mouth”, Deadpool. Marvel parodies Coca-Cola’s Super Bowl 43 commercial titled “Mean Troy”, staring Troy Polamalu of the Pittsburg Steelers. Replace the big-hair strong safety for Deadpool and you got something very special called “Mean Deadpool”. Unfortunately, there is no cheesy jingle like the original, but who cares! An stop-motion animation of an action figure Deadpool abusing little children is definitely worth the watch!
Hit the jump to check out “Mean Troy” and “Mean Deadpool”!

iGT is back after a few days of leave. I do apologize to the 2-3 people that frequently visits our little operation for the lack of posts over the last few days. Apparently, injured knees results in not being able to use a computer. Who knew!? Oh well, Im going to take the time to make up some lost ground.
This week, iGT will feature two new catergories called “Impromptu” and “Customized”. Impromptu will be small tasty geek morsel of cool artwork and images without crazy amount of reading involved. Impromptu will be a great featurette for you to see more updated post goodness from us. Customized will be a feature of artist/craftsmen custom parody or original art and toys. You won’t find repaints only. We expect full blown overhauls of the original to produce something new and bitchin’. That being said, here we have something that satisfies both catergories!
To celebrate the upcoming “Brain Invaders” episode of The Clone Wars, Star Wars artist, Matt Busch put a delectable spin to the original Star Wars posters with a gruesome zombie twist. All 6 “episodes” of the saga got the zombie treatment. I especially love the undead Luke Skywalker in the New Hope parody. Great job Mr. Busch! Hit the jump to check out the rest of Matt Busch’s great poster art!

Beware of the adorable, homicidal lamps.
I knew this was going to happen sooner or later. Pixar’s infamous desk lamp mascot’s constant brutal attacks on the letter “I” has finally taken its toll and now Luxo Jr. must pay for his crimes. Does the death sentence seem suitable for the crime committed? I sure think so. Luxo killed a beloved vowel for gawd sakes! I say give you letter killer the chair and get it over with. John Lasseter must be crying after realizing what kind of monster he has created all those years ago. It’s always the bright ones that turn out to be screwed up in the end (see what I did there? Yeah, I’m lame). Hit the jump to see the crime AND punishment in action.

You talk like someone from old history…
Olivia Munn is well known as being the host of G4’s Attack of the Show and also known for being the focal point of many adolescent geek’s wet dreams. Ms. Munn is also known for her random parodies of movies and commericals on Attack of the Show. This time around, in an attempt to connect with Twilight haters, Olivia Munn and the other guy (I forget his name…) from AotS does a parody of Stephanie Meyer’s Twilight. More than Olivia and that other guy’s part, the beginning with Edward and Bella is hilarious.
Oh yeah… That other guy’s name is Kevin Pereira. Its kind of hard to remember the guy’s name with all the jiggling that goes on Attack of the Show.

Most of you have already witnessed the disgusting act by Kanye “Douchebaggary” West at the MTV Video Music Awards when he stormed stage and interrupted Taylor Swift (who is quite loveable) during her acceptance speech after she won the Best Female Video award. Now know as “The Taylor Swift Incident of 2009” or “Kanyegate”, this event gave birth immediately to numerous amounts of parodies that are surfacing on the web. Not since “WHOSE RESPONSIBLE THIS” have I seen one mans ill-planned words become the laughing stock of the internet community. Bravo sirs!
Hit the jump to see some of these ridiculously glorious parodies!
