If you are a die-hard geek, you can’t have just any old wedding cake. Ya gotta give it a geek twist and make it one of a kind. However, if you don’t have the cash to pitch out hundreds of dollars to get a custom cake made for your wedding, why not go with a bad ass geek cake topper. Etsy community member, Hilda Fernandez (AKA HILDOOM) offers a cool variety of cute geeky cake toppers like Han Solo and Princess Leia from Star Wars (pictured above). If Star Wars isn’t your thing (and shame on you if it isn’t), she also offers custom cake toppers of Link and Zelda from… well, Zelda, Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and Mario and Princess Peach from Super Mario Bros.! Even Luigi gets some time in the spotlight in his own cake topper with Princess Daisy! Each of these adorable cake toppers are hand sculpted and made of polymer clay and colored using acrylic paint. HILDOOM also takes special requests so if you want something different from what she has to offer on her Etsy shop, just drop her a line. Considering each of these cake toppers are each created by hand, she only charges around $85 each (more pending on the difficulty of the request)! A small price to pay to personalize your big day and to have a keepsake from your wedding that screams geek!

I too have requested the services of HILDOOM to create a one-of-a-kind cake topper for my wedding next week (and yes, I am getting married…). Unfortunately, as much as I would KILL (KILL I said!) for a pair of his and her Scout Troopers beating down on an Ewok as my cake topper, I will be getting two frogs named Kerori from Sanrio, because Mrs. geektrooper said so. Sigh~

Check out HILDOOM Etsy shop and hit the jump to see more of her awesome geek cake toppers!

Still keeping with Geek Girls Network Zombie Week, here are a few examples of what the internet has to offer in terms of Zombie Marios and few other Mario-related characters. Please note, some of these might be a bit gory, but know, at least, that I didn’t post the really, super, horrible, gut-wrenching images (the good ones).

Nothing beats the beautiful mergers of geek and sweets. Mrs. “chocomocakes” (chocolate mousse cakes) of El Paso, Texas really knows the ways to a geek’s heart. She bakes and decorates cakes for all occasions such as birthdays and weddings. The one type of cake that really stands out from your delicious portfolio is her “geek cakes” based on comics, television series, movies, and even anime. With attention to detail, she uses fondant, butter creme, gum paste, and others to design her cakes.  It seems nothing is too much of a challenge for this baker extraordinaire. Hit the jump to check out some of your delectable creations.

Thanks for the deviants at CollegeHumor, we now know what happens after Mario saves the Princess.

Warning: NSFW and lower your volume. Apparently, Princess is a screamer…. freakin’ knew it….

Artist and photgrapher, Greg De Stefano has created a beautiful gallery of photos of cosplayers from the video game Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Some of the featured are:
Mario (Super Mario Bros.)
Fox McCloud (StarFox)
Samus (Metroid)
Icarus (Kid Icarus)
and more…

We have all seen Mario and Luigi cosplayers at various comic and anime conventions, but you have to admit… you have NEVER seen them like this before.
