I would like to ask everyone to start clapping your hands for ‘Harry Potter’ and cat fan, Laura Marshall. She claims that she isn’t a “crazy cat lady”, but she did commission Will Whitehouse of Whitehouse Wood Works out of Houston, Texas to created a nine foot tall cat house that looks like “The Burrow” from ‘Harry Potter’. The Burrow is the house that the Weasley lived in and from the looks of it, Will did an amazing job. I would be very disappointed if Laura’s cat doesn’t have red hair. As cool as this is, I prefer the TARDIS cat house.

What can I really say about this trailer? It’s the first full theatrical trailer for ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II’. It’s the last movie in the Harry Potter saga and from the looks of it, it will end with a bang. The eighth and last film will feature the “Battle of Hogwarts” and the final showdown between Harry Potter and Voldemort in a classic battle of good versus evil. Just from the feeling I got from the trailer, they saved the best for last and this just may be the best of all the Harry Potter films. I’m getting very excited.

‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II’ opens on July 15, 2011. Hit the jump and check out the first full theatrical trailer!

There has been a lot of April Fool’s jokes on the web this year, but IGN’s had to be the best. IGN created an awesome one minute trailer for a fictional ‘Harry Potter’ inspired television series called ‘The Aurors’. The Aurors, as you may know is an elite unit of law enforcement agents within the Ministry of Magic trained to capture Dark wizards. Characters such as Nymphadora Tonks and Alastor Moody are/were part of the Aurors. Well, now that the Harry Potter movies are coming to an end with ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2’, it was pretty devious of IGN to prey on the fan’s need for more Harry Potter. Even I wanted to believe and did for a second. Unfortunately, after further research, I found the trailer to be a dirty April Fool’s joke and I pretty much spiraled into a deep depression. Regardless, I think IGN did a pretty awesome job with the trailer and considering the timing, they made the biggest splash on April Fool’s Day. I think Warner Bros. really need to look into this. IGN might have something here.

Los Angeles based illustrator, Reza Rasoli AKA rezatron (@rezatron) like to doodle zombies in his spare time. Reza takes some of our favorite pop culture iconic characters like Link from ‘Legend of Zelda’ and Marty from ‘Back to the Future’ and puts a nasty zombie spin on each one. While most “zombie” illustrations are gross and hideous, I find Reza’s zombies to be humorous and whimsical. There is something very endearing behind the blood and gore. You can see Reza’s various work on his website.

Now, how do I start? Thanks to YouBentMyWookie, I was introduced to the wonderful world of “Harry Potter Pole Dancing”. Erika (youtube user lethalblonde0911) and her friends Leo and Morgan, decided to put together a little film of Erika dressed in a Hogwarts school girl outfit and spinning around a pole with some special effects added for her wand. Backed by a really cool soundtrack by Terabyte Frenzy called the “Harry Potter and the Half-dub Remix”, Erika pulls off some impressive moves on the pole while Leo does the camera work. I am pretty sure parents will not approve this little video due to content, but I find it hilarious. Much better than someone filming another dude running around a field with a broomstick between his legs playing “Quidditch”. Think about it.

20090720hp6posterHarry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is finally released!!!

I took my wife on Saturday to check out the newest installment in the Harry Potter series. I will admit that I am a fan of the movies and have caught them all on opening weekend.
I’ve been looking forward to HP6 for MONTHS!
HP6 is pretty much the last Summer blockbusters that I am looking forward to for this year.

There is a considerable amount of reviews out since Wednesday that calls Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (or HP6 as the cool kids call it) the best movie so far in the series.

I disagree.

[Disclaimer: Before you read my rant about HP6, I just want to warn you that I have never read the books. NEVER. Just watched the movies.]
