It looks sooooo awesome and sooooo delicious! I want to eat it so badly, yet I might just throw it in the freezer to keep forever! Unfortunately, other than the graham cracker and chocolate, the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man from ‘Ghostbusters’ is actually made from modeling clay. However, its not like it can’t be made in edible form though… Maybe a skilled sculpture with some fondant and modeling chocolate can pull it off. I might just want to eat it even though I know it’s clay. I have to ask though… if you put that much effort into this “Stay Puft” smore, why did ya put it on such an ugly paper plate?
These are soooo bad ass, I don’t know what to do. Sure… I can try to be like Jack Rossi and build myself a pair of ‘Ghostbusters’ Anaglyph 3D Paragoggles, but I’m just not that creative or talented. Great thing for us is that there are people like Jack who can make something as awesome as these paragoggles and at the same time, make us feel less of a man.
I just finished up my Ghostbusters Paragoggles (or Ecto Goggles). According to Ghostbusters lore, The Paragoggles are activated independently of the PKE Meter but can work in conjunction with it. They enable the user to view otherwise-invisible ectoplasmic activity, objects on the ethereal plane, and objects that exhibit paranormal affinity. At times your Paragoggles will reveal Ectoplasmic Residue, reducing the need for PKE Meter readings. I however went a little on the techie side and decided to insert anaglyph 3D red and blue lenses in them. Now the spooks and specters really pop out at ya!
I don’t know about you, but if you are rich enough and have enough time to build yourself a home theatre room, I think you can settle for anything less than these 3D paragoggles. Amazing job Jack!
This is sick. This is gruesome. This is absolutely the craziest shit I have ever seen in the world of toy customization. Digital illustrator/sculpture, Jason Freeny (Moist Production) seems to be intrigued by what makes some of our favorite animated character tick. Unlike most of us (including myself) who did everything and anything to tear into a toy to see what was inside only to be disappointed that there was absolutely nothing, Freeny take it even further by designing and sculpting the inner parts of our favorite characters such as SackBoy (LittleBigPlanet), Stewie (Family Guy), Yoshi (Super Mario Bros.), and more. Freeny creates everything from the skeleton to the inner organs and beautifully places them in a cross section of some of our favorite toys. I do have to say that my favorite of Jason’s collection has to the “little green men” from ‘Toy Story’. Maybe this is what they look like after Spike blows them up in his backyard. You might think its cruel to cut up a perfectly good toy, but what I see is a sacrifice made to create something even more beautiful. You can follow Jason’s amazing work on his DeviantArt page and on his Facebook page. It’s awesome.

The cool guys over at BioWorld Merchandising created a bitchin’ new bag for the upcoming “back to school” season. Ghostbusters is pretty popular right now so it makes sense that someone made a Ghostbusters back pack fashioned to look like the nuclear powered proton pack. Its pretty impressive what a simple design and silk screen process can do for a simple back pack. So far, 80’s Tees has it on their site for 40 bucks, but you will see it in your favorite comic shop very soon. You won’t be catchin’ any ghosts with this back pack and probably its only real use is to store some books and a crusty tuna sandwich, but who gives a crap? Its fucking Ghostbusters buddy!

The New York Public Library is currently facing a huge $37 million budget shortage and to promote their “Don’t Close the Book” fundraising campaign, NYPL hooked up with Improv Everywhere, a NY based improv group that specializes in “scenes of chaos and joy in public places” (sounds like a group of misfits…). To promote public awareness of the library’s predicament, Improv Everywhere staged a homage to famous scene from Ghostbusters! Its also really cool that it took place in NYPL’s historic Rose Main Reading Room where the original Ghostbuster scene took place. Just like in the movie, four proton pack toting Ghostbusters invaded the library to chase out couple ghostly beings donning white sheets with a pair of holes punched through. With a really cool remix of the Ghostbuster theme song by Tyler Walker, playing in the back ground, the video is definitely funny as hell. Even the students and patrons of the library think so as well. Great job!
