Happy Movember! What’s this Movember you say? Well, rumor has it that in 1999 a group of Australian men from Adelaide decided to dedicate one month annually to the fine art of growing facial hair.

Since 2004, Movember has been used as a mechanism to raise funds for men’s health. Whereas pictures of breasts flooded our twitter streams during October, November is all about the mustache. This landmark of manhood was especially popular during the late 70’s and early 80’s, but throughout history humanity has witnessed some wicked facial hair waxing.

(See how desperate we are to keep ourselves clean for our women and rank in society?) Turns out some women have such a strong affinity for the mustache that they try to grow their own. Yes, it’s true that ladies are able to grow facial hair (haven’t you ever heard of the bearded lady?). FRida Kahlo would often depict herself with facial hair in her art, though this is generally not practiced in Western cultures (thus the freak show effect it has on people).

Fun fact: there is actually a “World Beard and Mustache Championship” with several sub categories of judgment. Some of the more interesting ones include:

I’m a sucker for any collectible that is related to ‘Star Wars’ and these chopsticks make me want to go for my wallet. World renowned Japanese figure designer and producers, Kotobukiya presents Star Wars “Chopsabers”. The unique chopsticks are fashioned to look like every Jedi’s weapon of choice, the lightsaber. Kotobukiya is planning to release 3 chopsabers in 2010, starting with Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker adult size chopsabers (about 10 inches long) and a Yoda chopsaber for the tykes (about 8 inches long). Each of these chopsabers comes with a special chopstick stand with the Star Wars logo.

My Twitter buddies @Zeblue_Prime and @joshgeeksix brought to my attention a list of the “Top 20 Geekiest Cars in Movies“. As a fan of movies myself, I just couldn’t get myself to agree with the selection and instead of arguing, I figured why not make a list of my own.

So here it is! The Top 10 Geekiest Cars. iGeektrooper Edition! (I used the images of the toys because I thought it was a bit more fun.)

10. The Mystery Machine from Scooby-Doo

igeektrooperGeektrooper… reporting to duty!

Today is a very exciting day for me considering my blog has finally been completed!
After months of grueling brainstorming, designing and shenanigans, igeektrooper.com has finally launched! A lot of work has gone into the site, so I hope you all enjoy it!

Most of my ‘blogging’ in the past has been done on Twitter, but things are going to change.
I am not bound by the shackles of the 140 letter format. Screw that! I’m free to gibber-jabber without anything holding me back!

Expect entertainment, educational information, and mayhem!

Things are definitely going to get interesting…

Also, I want to thank everyone on Twitter that gave me criticism, suggestions and ideas for my blog design!
