Finally! A non-Dark Knight Rises fan made movie poster! Digital artist, Jaime Issachar (AKA hyzak) put together two awesome fan-made posters for Marc Webb’s ‘Spider-Man’ movie reboot. Jaime got the design of the new costume down and the posters look incredible. Jaime did 3D modeling and texture mapping using Daz3d Studio, May, zbrush, and photoshop to create these posters. The posters feature a similar style as what we seen from Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, but a little bit different (mostly the costume). I especially love Spidey leaping over New York’s cityscape. I’m pretty sure that the direction of the actual posters for Marc Webb’s Spider-Man will differ from Raimi’s, but I do dig these quite a bit. At least these designs do not have a problem with an over-sized cod piece.

The untitled Spider-Man reboot opens on July 3rd, 2012. Hit the jump to check out the posters!

You know all those plastic fork, spoons, knives, and sporks that we carelessly throw away after we scarf down our lunch? Well, apparently we were tossing away a valuable tool to create works of art. WTF you say? Let me introduce to you “Waste”.

“Waste” is a sculpture of a human skeleton that was designed and constructed using various plastic utensils. Five graphic design and photography graduates from Kingston University (Ashley Maine, Laura Bowman, Jamie Breach, Elliott Mariess and Lewis Woolner) created this plastic skeleton to showcase the ironic connection between our addictive fast-food culture and the problem of world hunger. Their haunting, yet thought provocative design received a commendation at the 2009 Digital and Analog Design (AKA D&DA) awards. Hit the jump to see a closer look at their work.

In light of Walt Disney Company’s acquisition of Marvel Entertainment, Worth100.com held a contest asking thier online community members to submit digital artwork of Marvel/Disney mash ups. Even though everyone was only given 48 hours to enter their creations, the art is some of the best I have seen featuring Marvel and Disney character hybrids! Great work to all the artists! Hit the jump to see some of the best entries!

It was raining… the day I saw him…
The grey one had killed his yellow friend…
… he wanted REVENGE.

Thanks to Twitter friend, The @GreatWhiteSnark, for showing me this little gem. This 3 panel ‘Transformers’ art piece was done by digital artist, Andrew Ley (artist location listed as Masnchester, Amsterdam, Canberra). It is quite a stunning piece featuring a grim glimpse of a battle scene between Optimus Prime and Megatron. Unfortunately, Bumblebee has already become a casualty of war by the hands of the leader of the Decepticons. The brilliant color selection and design style by Andrew Ley definitely puts ‘Bayformers’ to shame. It kind of reminds me of the conceptual art for ‘The Iron Giant’.

You can find Andrew Ley’s other work at Concept Art.
