Spencer’s Tom: Hey, Bob. You know all those skimpy bikinis that strippers wear that we make with the marijuana and beer logos and stuff?
Spencer’s Bob: Yeah, sure. What about it?
Spencer’s Tom: Superheroes are popular. Let’s just replace the marijuana leaf or Corona logo with Batman or one of them superhero people. Then, we’ll have our big boobie models wear them on our site so kids can come and stare!
Spencer’s Bob: Thomas… That is the greatest idea ever. WE WILL MAKE MILLIONS!
Spencer’s Tom and Spencer’s Bob: HAR HAR HAR HAR! /highfive
The end.

…Aquaman is suddenly cool?!

Have you seen that promo spot for “The New 52” from DC Comics and Warner Bros. promoting the reboot? Well, I have and they are a bit boring if I say so myself. Well, now thanks to Patrick Willems (@pwillems), we kind of get a good idea of what is going on with “The New 52” with a little rage in this fan-made commercial. I do understand that it’s kind of mocking the new changes that is happening in the DC universe, but it kind of had the opposite effect on me. Now, I’m a bit excited about the reboot and can’t wait to see what happens (again?). Fans make the best shit.

Please excuse me as I am trying to stop laughing after watching this gut bustin’ video by Teal Sherer (@TealSherer) and Sean Becker (@SeanBecker). You may have heard already about DC rebooting their whole universe and starting back at square one. Well, one of the biggest controversy is that Barbara Gordon AKA Oracle will be not bound to the wheel chair anymore and will return to become Batgirl once again. I guess Barbara Gordon feels the same about the reboot as the diehard fans do (BTW, Teal as Barbara Gordon is magical!).

Oh good gawd… It seems like there is no end in sight for these porn comic parodies…

From the director who brought you “The Justice League of Porn Star Heroes”, comes the latest Sinister X production – “Supergirl XXX: An Extreme Comixxx Parody”. Earth’s sexiest super hero is a young co-ed from another planet. Supergirl (Alanah Rae) barely escapes the destruction of her home planet, but her greatest challenge lies ahead–sorority life! With the help of her cousin, Superman (Dale Dabone) and her bff, Barbara Gordon (Sunny Lane), Supergirl tries to pass off as human. The only thing standing in her way from a life of text books, keg parties and casual sex, is Natasha Luthor (Andy San Dimas), the Queen Bitch of the Tri-Pi Sorority. In Luthor’s plan for world domination, Supergirl is the last piece of the puzzle.

It was bound to happen. You know it was. I haven’t seen any porn parodies from Extreme Comixxx before so I have no idea whether the movie will be good or not, but from the looks of it, Justice League of Porn Star Heroes must have done very well if they are about to jump on Supergirl (no pun intended). You can expect Supergirl XXX to hit the back rooms of liquor store video shelves starting June 2011.

Every geek loves to show the world how much of a geek they really are. One of the favorite ways to doing so is customization. A pin or patch here and there sets you apart from the rest. I guess this is the idea that DC Comics and PENTAX decided to run with. Introducing the PENTAX Optio RS1500 digital camera. The RS1500 will have a unique feature that will allow the owner to change the faceplate on the camera with a selection of seven different DC Comic characters including Batman, The Joker, The Flash, Superman, Wonder Woman, Catwoman, and Green Lantern. The limited edition collector’s set will also include a 4 GB SD Card and a protective case imprinted logo of the Green Lantern. Also, if you’re not a fan of the seven provided, you can use the PENTAX Personal Skin Designer software that will allow you to create your own and print out on a color printer. The camera will be the size of your standard credit card and feature a fourteen megapixel CCD, a three inch LCD monitor, and a wide-angle 27.5mm to 110mm lens with a 4X optical zoom. Cool! Unfortunately, from what I have read, the camera will be released in Europe on May 1st for only 129 Euros. Shucks!

I know a lot of you can’t wait till October for the release of ‘Batman: Arkham City’ so until than, why not enjoy the comic? Starting May, DC Comics will release a six issue series bridging the gap between ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’ and ‘Batman: Arkham City’. Arkham City is set to take place one year after the events of Arkham Asylum.

The six-issue miniseries is slated to fill fans in on what happened between the games. The comic picks up roughly one year after the events of Arkham Asylum and finds Quincy Sharp, the former Arkham warden, being elected mayor of Gotham City.
Sharp’s first act as mayor is to shut the asylum down and establish a new maximum-security “home” for Arkham’s residents, Arkham City, near the heart of Gotham City.
The city takes a decidedly new approach to dealing with its residents, letting them roam free and do whatever they like so long as they keep it within the city’s walls. What could go wrong? Oh wait, did we mention that the new mayor appoints Hugo Strange, a genius psychologist who knows Batman’s true identity, to run the joint?

Whats really cool is that the infamous Paul Dini will be writing and the art will be done by Carlos D’Anda who also did the conceptual art on both games. From the looks of these “sneak preview” pages, the art is really stunning and insane. This is going to be a real treat before the release of the game. Expect the first two issues to release in May, followed by another issue every month after. ‘Batman: Arkham City’ is set to hit stores on October 18th, 2011 for Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
