Geez. This is pretty insane. At “Eden” in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan you can spend some “alone time” with your lady friend (or guy friend) in style. Within the 46 room motel, there is a room decorated in Batman decor! Everything from a bed sporting a cushy Batman logo to Batman logo etched mirrors, and even a couch decked out to look like the “Tumbler” from ‘Batman Begins’ and ‘The Dark Knight’. To stay in the tacky, but luxurious room, it will cost you around $50 for three hours. Now, you might ask why its rented out in hourly segment. Well, if you weren’t aware, like many motels in Asia, this room is more made for “erotic activities” than sleeping. For those that pick up a stranger at a bar and need a place to “get down and dirty”, Eden’s Batman room is the place to go. With the room, Eden also supplies you with lubrication, sexy lingerie and other perks for an extra fee of course. Yikes!

This is one of the reasons I was laughing so hard when people on Twitter were saying that they would love to stay there. I wouldn’t sit anywhere in this room without paper towels to put down for protection. Thats just how I roll.

TrueOneMoreUser” is back with a pretty cool follow-up to their release, “Law Abiding Engineer” (A ‘Team Fortress 2′ machinimas mash-up of ‘Law Abiding Citizens). Titled, ‘The Demo Knight’, the theatrical trailer for Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight is combined with Team Fortress 2 to create a pretty awesome trailer. All nine various TF2 classes are shown in the trailer starting with “The Spy” as the Joker and “The Demoman” playing Batman (hence the title, Demo Knight). I think the best part of the trailer has to be the scenes with the Spy. It’s almost as if the late Heath Ledger’s voice was made for the Spy and the Joker’s psychotic ways seems to be fitting for the sly bastard. This machinimas short makes me want to do two things. 1. Watch ‘The Dark Knight’ again. 2. Play ‘Team Fortress 2′.

People are talented and with that talent, they do some insane stuff. Couple years ago, David Alvarez, aka dAlvarez3182 did a pretty amazing mosaic of the late Heath Ledger as The Joker from ‘The Dark Knight”. Whats really impressive is that the fact that he did the whole thing with Rubik’s cubes. The Joke mosaic was huge measuring at 4 feet wide and 3 feet tall. It took 366 Rubik’s cubes to make it and David assures us he didn’t break the cubes or peel/paint the color panels to make the piece. If you want proof, you can check out David’s video of him building the mosaic from start to finish.

Well, if anyone has $100,000.00 laying around under a mattress or a sock, you can go and buy yourself a working 1:1 scale replica of the Batpod from Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight. badrobot2002 of Satellite Beach, Florida is selling his Batpod that him and his brother took several months to build. badrobot2002 and his brother are metal fabricator and custom bike builders by trade so you can rest assure that this Batpod runs well and is built like a tank (that rolls on 2 wheels… heh~). The mock up was originally built with wood and PVC pipes, but over time, the brother completed the bike completely in steel. The big wheeled beast runs a single cylinder/four stroke motor that runs at about 650CC just the like Batpod used in the movie.

The frame and all tubing were built from hardened steel and welded together for an unbelievable rendition of this famous vehicle. The covers and arm guards, which are formed with high tensile strength fiberglass, hide the actual engine which is a high output 650cc 4 stroke, water cooled engine with direct port nitrous injection delivering amazing power in a compact shell if it were ever needed. The front and rear tires measure 508 millimeters across and it is outfitted with grappling hooks, grenade launchers, and 50 caliber machine guns for those traffic jams on the freeway. (No… they don’t really work.) The pod has never been ridden on the street but has been tested in a controlled environment. This one-off custom would be the perfect addition for the collector who has it all, or for a museum piece that will draw a crowd like nothing else.

badrobot2002 has his bike on sale on eBay now starting at a hefty price tag of $100k and is looking for serious bidders. If eBay is unsuccessful, the Batpod will make its way to the famous Barrett Jackson auto auction. Unfortunately, the seller is NOT willing to offer free shipping… BOOOOO!!!

You can check out the auction here and hit the jump to check out more pix of badrobot2002’s Batpod.

BAD ASS! Earlier this year, Smart USA commisioned Smart42Parts to do a custom Batmobile version of their Smart FourTwo vehicle. Whats really cool is that fact that legendary customizer and designer George Barris (who designed and built the 1966 Batmobile) help design the now called “BatSmart”. Barris’ BatSmart featured a faux turbine, custom fabricated bodywork, and a faux rocket launcher. Unfortunately, everything is just for looks, cause this machine runs on a 3 piston, 70 horsepower engine. The BatSmart premiered at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show. Whats even cooler was forty BatSmarts were made to be sold to collectors. Even Batman has to be eco-friendly sooner or later.

First Star Wars. Then Halo. Now clothing designer and manufacturer, Marc Ecko tackles the infamous baddies of sci-fi and horror movies. Called, “The Black Rhino Collection”, Marc Ecko has created 5 new zip-up hoodies inspired by cult classic icons such as Jason Voorhess from Friday the 13th, Jigsaw from Saw, “The Demon” (Gene Simmons) from KISS (not sure why they are grouped with the others) and The Dark Knight’s Batman and Joker. Each of these goes for a little under 100 dollars and is limited edition, so they are collectible as well. Just don’t buy wear these if your planning to rob a bank. I don’t want to hear on the news that Jason Voorhees was killed in a burglary attempt. Or do I? Model: Ali Stephens & Batman - Photographer: Thierry Le Gouès - Layout: Marcell Rocha

I’m Batman… and aren’t I fabulous?!

I always love it when comic book culture breaks its way into other types of popular culture. In this case, high end fashion. In the latest issue, French fashion magazine French Revue du Modes will feature model Ali Stephens and Batman. Batman trades in Robin for a much more glamorous sidekick as Ali is sporting an outfit that isn’t like anything any of her predecessors ever wore. Instead of the green and red spandex (like Robin), Ali rather be fighting crime in animal prints, checkers, stripes, and freakin’ crazy high boots. Its almost feels like a mash up between The Dark Knight and Vivienne Westwood. If Ali was to learn anything from the Caped Crusader, it is that black is always in style and you can strike fear with just your eyes. Jeez, she got some crazy eye make up on…
