You clever and annoying bastards! I’m pretty annoyed when I run into infographics created by random companies (in this case, carinsurance.org) to trap random people into checking out their site and services. Well, unfortunately, some of these are pretty neat and this is the case with this inforgraphic. Titled, “The Evolution of the Batmobile” this visual infographic showcases ever variant of the Dark Knight’s ride from 1941 to the present. Every Batmobile from the comic, tv series, movies, etc. is featured. I’m not an expert on Batman vehicles so I am not sure how accurate this infographic is (I don’t even recognize some of these things…), but I do congratulate carinsurance.org for suckering me into visiting their site (only so that I can save the image). The things I do for Batman. Sheesh.

Billionaire playboy, Bruce Wayne has a shit load of cash in his trust fund that he can occasionally blow on lavish and incredibly ridiculous junk. Considering majority of his bank is tied up in Wayne Enterprises and his side gig as Gotham’s caped crusader, why not mix the best of both worlds. One fan went bat-shit nutty with an incredible Batmobile stretch limo. Based off of Tim Burton’s rendition of the Batmobile, this limo has all the signature art-deco flares of the Batmobile from the Batman and Batman Returns. Everything from the cool armor plating, batwing stylized fins, and faux twin jet turbine engines are featured on this limo. As much as I loved Burton’s Batmobile, too bad the limo wasn’t themed after the 1960’s Batman television series version. At least the design wasn’t based off of one of Joel Schumacher’s failures. DIE SCHUMACHER! DIE!

BAD ASS! Earlier this year, Smart USA commisioned Smart42Parts to do a custom Batmobile version of their Smart FourTwo vehicle. Whats really cool is that fact that legendary customizer and designer George Barris (who designed and built the 1966 Batmobile) help design the now called “BatSmart”. Barris’ BatSmart featured a faux turbine, custom fabricated bodywork, and a faux rocket launcher. Unfortunately, everything is just for looks, cause this machine runs on a 3 piston, 70 horsepower engine. The BatSmart premiered at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show. Whats even cooler was forty BatSmarts were made to be sold to collectors. Even Batman has to be eco-friendly sooner or later.

Good news guys and gals! You don’t have to be a billionaire like Bruce Wayne to own the “Batmobile” from ‘The Dark Knight’ (kinda). Custom fabricator, “T-Man” has designed and fabricated a custom Batmobile Tumbler Go-Kart!
Of course, you won’t be leaping rooftops or outrunning the local law enforcement, but it can help you:
- Chase down the neighbor’s cat that has been leaving nice little surprises on your yard.
- Deliver newspapers in style.
- Race against “Power Wheels” drivers for pink slips.
- Impress the “girl next door” by writing her name in the streets while doing a burnout.
- Get killed by taking a wrong turn into a freeway.
Either way, you’re definitely going to look bitchin’ doing it. Hit the jump to see it in action!
