Please excuse me as I am trying to stop laughing after watching this gut bustin’ video by Teal Sherer (@TealSherer) and Sean Becker (@SeanBecker). You may have heard already about DC rebooting their whole universe and starting back at square one. Well, one of the biggest controversy is that Barbara Gordon AKA Oracle will be not bound to the wheel chair anymore and will return to become Batgirl once again. I guess Barbara Gordon feels the same about the reboot as the diehard fans do (BTW, Teal as Barbara Gordon is magical!).

Through out the Batman Reborn story arc (Batman R.I.P., Final Crisis, Battle for the Cowl, Batman and Robin, etc.), we have seen an array of different character try to take on the mantle of Batman after the presumed and soon debunked rumor of Bruce Wayne’s death to the hands of Darkseid. Of course, infamous characters such as Jason Todd (Robin/Red Hood/etc.) and Two-Face have donned their own variation of the caped crusader. Due to Bruce Wayne’s absence, some characters changed such as Stephanie Brown (Spoiler/Robin) be being handed the title of Batgirl from Cassandra Cain. At the conclusion of Battle for the Cowl, Bruce’s original protégé/sidekick, Dick Grayson (Nightwing) became the new Batman and Bruce’s son, Damien Wayne became the new Robin. It has been a while since we have seen so many bitchin’ costume and character designs in the Batman universe. Thanks to the brilliant minds of Grant Morrison, Tony Daniels, Carlos Pacheco, Frank Quitely, and others, Batman has been very exciting. It was only a matter of time before we were graced with a cool action figure line from Batman Reborn.

DC Direct will be releasing their first series of Batman Reborn action figures which will include 4 incredible figures. Series one includes Two-Face Batman, Batman Reborn version Azrael (with his flaming sword), the first Stephanie Brown Batgirl, and my favorite, the wicked Jason Todd Batman. Each figure is around 6.5 inches tall (Batgirl will be 5.75 inches tall) and will be available in July 2010. Shit that’s far away…
