What can I say about ‘The Schwarzenegger Trilogy’ other than… WTF? and OMG! This multi-neon colored animated short created by Brainbow Designs was created using over 1600 hand drawn animation cells and highlighters were used for color.
The 3 short animations all hand-drawn 1600 frames cell animation with Highlighters used for color, it was hell to make but we love the final videos!
The first video ‘5 4 3 2…’ is a series of continuous hollywood explosions edited into a simple beat.
The second ‘Galleria’ is a cut from Terminator 2 which is one of my favorite scenes from any movie.
The third ‘come on… get down’ is a original gangsta rap with lyrics provided by Arnold himself and music created by Harry McGowan
The short films premiered at the Standard Hotel in Downtown Los Angeles as part of Cine-Shorts which is a bi-monthly series that aims to provide a platform for local directors + aspiring filmakers making their mark in the city of los angeles.
After watching this maddening animated short, I can’t help but feel like I just drank a liter of scotch. All I know is I like it!

I have no idea how and why I didn’t post this yesterday, but I say its better late than never. Last week, I featured some news regarding Arnold Schwarzenegger and Stan Lee developing an animated series called “The Governator” for 2012. Well, now there is a trailer and I have to say that I have some very strong mixed emotions about this one. While the animation seems to be okay (thanks to Korea and China) and has a hint of anime influences, the ridiculous nonsense featured in the trailer shows a wide variety of ideas that were stolen elsewhere. I see a little of Batman, TRON, G.I. Joe, Ghost in the Shell, and Transformers in this little trailer. There even some bullet dodging ‘Matrix’ action in the show (What year is this? 2001?!). The series looks be a horrid train wreck, but I also am suspicious whether this was intentional or not. Is it possible that something can be so bad that it makes a full circle and becomes good? I’m not sure about you, but I will be tuning in to check out ‘The Governator’ in 2012.

Holy smokes! HE’S BACK! It has been pretty clear that Arnold Schwarzenegger has big plans to return to the entertainment industry after his stint as the Governor of California (since he left office in January). While he may be taking his time to go through a mountain of scripts before choosing his next big screen project, his first project will indeed be an animated television show. EW reports that Arnold is currently developing an animated series called ‘The Governator’!
When I ran for governor back in 2003 and I started hearing people talking about ‘the Governator,’ I thought the word was so cool. The word Governator combined two worlds: the world of politics and the movie world. And [this cartoon] brings everything together. It combines the governor, the Terminator, the bodybuilding world, the True Lies…
Co-developing the animated series will be none other than the great Stan Lee who created some of Marvel’s greatest superheroes.
The Governator is going to be a great superhero, but he’ll also be Arnold Schwarzenegger. We’re using all the personal elements of Arnold’s life. We’re using his wife [Maria Shriver]. We’re using his kids. We’re using the fact that he used to be governor. Only after he leaves the governor’s office, Arnold decides to become a crime fighter and builds a secret high-tech crime-fighting center under his house in Brentwood.
I don’t know about you, but I smell a load of awesomesauce coming our way from the dream team of Schwarzenegger and Lee. The series is still in development, but we can expect to see it on the small screen next year. I hope this turns out to be an adult-oriented comical spoof like ‘Archer’. That would be brilliant!

This is fucking amazing. So fucking amazing that I can’t seem to write a post to go along with this video. My mind was blown and I’m can’t think of anything. Jon and Al Kaplan, the guys behind “Conan the Barbarian: The Musical” and “Silence! The Musical” introduces their newest and last Schwarzenegger musical called “Predator: The Musical”. With lyrics such as “if it bleeds, you can keel it!”, theres very little I can write about how crazy this musical really is so I should just let you watch it. Hit the jump and your life will never be the same.

As most of you know, the great state of California (my home state) is governed by Arnold Schwarzenegger. “The Governator” (as a lot of us like to refer to him), is a action movie icon for his roles in movies such as Terminator, Predator, and Kindergarten Cop (heheheh…). One of the roles he is most recognized for was Conan the Barbarian.
Recently, Hi-Def News Caps (a website specializing in high resolution screen caps of new anchors…) twittered “The Governator” regarding whether he still had the “Atlantean” sword from Conan. He replied:
I do still have the Conan sword and I keep it in my office. Here’s a picture.
Along with the Twitter reply was a Twitpic of the picture you see above. At first, I was a bit suspicious of the post, until I looked further into “The Governator” Twitpic page to see the the box that the sword is displayed at a wider angle. Hit the jump for more!
