Stay on target…. meow….
Hummm… It looks like today is a “tee” kind of day. I ran into this adorable design on DistractedbyStarWars recently and I haven’t been able to shake this design out of my head. Seattle native artist, olechka has been creating brilliant illustration and featuring them on redbubble. I would have to say that “Nom Star” has to be olechka’s best so far. A kitty playing with a Death Star ball of yarn? I’m sold! I wish this illustration can really happen in real life, but I also don’t want to see the cat blow up when the Death Star yarn ball does. You can get this or any of olechka’s illustrations made into a tee of your choice at redbubble.

Unfortunately, I rarely ever buy any “one day special” tees you find on various sites, but I can’t help but love the “shirt of the day” at woot. Titled, “Pull Up, You Fools!”, this shirt is a pretty funny parody of the infamous attack on the Death Star in ‘Star Wars A New Hope’. Evan Ferstenfeld and Davide Zampedri’s design is really creative with the use of a Death Star shaped cheese ball attracting Rogue mice into its “trap”. I realize that the Rogue fighter pilots are mice, but WHAT THE HELL IS ACKBAR? Snot?
The shirt is on sale today (02/03/2011) for only $10!

I will be honest. ‘Smallville’ has not been on my radar or on my “must-watch-TV” list for years. Well, in its final season, it looks like fans will get some nice teases. In an episode titled, “Masquerade” (airing Feb. 18th, 2011), Lois (played by the voluptuous, Erica Durance) suggests that Clark be careful with his identity and should wear a disguise. Apparently, this leads to a fancy crimson red leather jacket with the “Superman” logo. Mind you, that this fashion consultation and wardrobe change all takes place while Chloe (played by Allison Mack) is being “tortured” by some baddie name “Desaad” (I’m sorry. Like I said before, its been a while I watched an episode. I have no idea who these guys are…). Regardless, I think the jacket looks pretty clean and snazzy. Not so over the top and very subtle. I still won’t watch Smallville though.

Update 02/03/2011: I’m hearing from multiple parties that this “costume” was revealed earlier in the season. Unfortunately, as I mentioned before, I do not watch the show, so it was a bit difficult to catch this. Regardless, its news to me and I can’t do anything but blame the two sources that reported it as “new”. Go figure. The internet duped me.

Thanks to Marvel.com, we finally get a nice good luck at Bucky (unlike the crappy scans people are uploading onto the net) from ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’. Chris Evans looks pretty buff as Captain America. Sebastian Stan looks like he was beat to shit as trusty sidekick, Bucky. Hit the jump to check out the “rough” scanned images of Bucky, HYDRA soldiers, and Red Skull (Hugo Weaving) pre-disfigurement from Les Toiles Héroïques.
Captain America: The First Avenger opens July 22, 2011.

Wow… Car commercials are getting pretty awesome lately. Yesterday, we got a sneak at Chevy’s cross promotion ad with ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’ that is suppose to air during Super Bowl XLV. Today, we get a glimpse at a ‘Star Wars’ themed Volkswagen commercial promoting the new 2012 VW Passat (which is a really ugly car…). The commercial follows a little child dressed a Darth Vader attempting to use the “Force” around the house. After failing to do so, he (or she) finally succeeds in front of a Passat in the drive way with the help of Dad’s start up remote. The best part of the commercial has to be the score and Kid-Vader. “Imperial March” is beautifully laid out in the promo spot and the animated acting by the “kid” even with the huge helmet on was brilliant. Especially the part when he starts up the Passat using the “Force”. The acting was 100 times better than found in “The Last Airbender”. Hit the jump to see the commercial and prepare to root for the kid. Its freakin’ awesome.

Well, that makes everything easy! Ever wonder where you place is in the ‘Star Wars’ universe? No need to worry boys and girls. Just like the “occupational placement” test you took in grade school, you get a chance to do the same for ‘Star Wars’. Thanks for Andy Green (who wrote this flowchart), you get to not only know which faction you will be working for, but your position. Let’s face it. Not all of us can be Jedi Knights and Sith Lords. Ever heard of midichlorians? I ended up with the job of “Sith Apprentice”. It was probably because I’m hungry for more power and I have no problem with bashing Jar Jar stupid head in. Good luck folks cause this flowchart just might determine whether you have a name in the credits or just some random cannon fodder. Hit the jump to take the test!

First of all. Lets put this out there. This is a fan-made poster. Now, with all the speculation on the web regarding Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s involvement in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, it seems that people already forgotten about Anne Hathaway (playing Selina Kyle/Catwoman) and Tom Hardy (playing Bane). Well, with the news of Anne Hathaway’s casting in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, graphic artists around the world have already flooded the web with custom images of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. Most are pretty lame and not worth mentioning, but this little gem discovered on IHeartChaos is freakin’ amazing! Sure, Hathaway’s face is not in the picture, but the theme of the poster is beautiful and follows that of ‘Batman Begins’ and ‘The Dark Knight’. If this fan-made poster ever gets printed, I’ll be forking over my credits for it without a second thought. I wish I knew who made this poster to give them some love, but unfortunately, the creator is unknown (at the moment). I wish I can thank the artist cause his Catwoman seriously has all the right curves in this poster. Hubba hubba…
