Roads? Where we’re going, we don’t need roads…
I find a Delorean Time Machine made of LEGOs to be quiet awesome. Based on the Delorean Time Machine from ‘Back to the Future II’ (the best of the three Deloreans in my opinion), Randy Sabourin of Gatineau, QC, Canada put together this Delorean with only LEGOs. It’s pretty awesome because just by looking at it, you would think this Delorean was something that wasn’t fan-made, but a kit you can buy at the toy store. I love the attention to detail from the license plate and Mr. Fusion Home Energy Reactor on the back to power the time machine. I really wish I could own this little Delorean, but knowing me, I’ll probably destroy it accidently from excitement.

There is nothing like an authoritarian government and law-enforcement organization to make you get clean. Geek soap-maker, Kylee Lane (@kyleelane) of Luxury Lane Soap (who was genius behind the “Han Solo in Carbonite” soap bar) recently revealed her newest creation, the ‘Firefly’ Alliance Soap. Finally, a soap perfect for ‘Firefly’, Nathan Fillion, and Joss Whedon fans! Weighing in at around six ounces each, these soap bars are handmade and made of eco and animal safe ingredients. Described as having a fresh strawberry scent, these soap bars only cost $7.95 each. A small price to pay for any die-hard “Browncoat”. I can image fan girls freakin’ out just thinking about Mal lathering himself up with this soap. Pervs… Along with the soap reveal, Kylee was also gracious enough to share with her fans a “behind the scenes” look into how the Alliance soap was made on the Luxury Lane Soap official blog. Now stop reading and go buy one (or ten…)!

Ah… It makes so little sense, but as an avid follower of everything NASCAR, I can’t help but be intrigued and excited about the introduction of the “Wreckers” in ‘Transformers: Dark of the Moon’. If you are not familiar with what a “Wrecker” is, the Wreckers are an elite commando sub-division of the Autobots. The Wreckers were first introduced in ‘The Transformers’ comics by Marvel and since have seen action in story such as ‘Transformers: Beast Machines’. Of course, in all the previous appearances of the Wreckers, not once were they a NASCAR stock car. Well, at the running of the Daytona 500 last weekend, Team Hendrick Motorsports (team includes drivers such as Dale Earnhardt Jr., Jeff Gordon, and five time champion, Jimmie Johnson) and Paramount put together an impressive display of “Wreckers” at the race. The Wreckers on display were Roadbuster, Top Spin and Leadfoot. It’s pretty cool to see Dale Jr’s 88 Amp Energy drink Chevy Impala decked out with missles and a multi-barrel heavy machine gun. Too bad they can’t drive these during the actual race. That would make it much more interesting to watch.
I’m expecting at least a couple or all the Wreckers to not make it to the end of TF3. Why’s that? Well, pretty much all the Wreckers get killed by Megatron and Galvatron in the comics. I’m just sayin’…

This is so damn random, it’s giving me a headache… but a good kind. Cardboard crafter extraordinaire, TK615 put together a very odd nativity scene for Christmas. Instead of getting some crummy plastic statues from WalMart, TK615 (I really wish I knew your real name buddy…) took a pile of cardboard, some hot glue and put together this pretty rad Robot themed nativity scene.
I made this using nothing but cardboard, hot glue, and OCD. 2 days no sleep…. (cut, glue, burn,… repeat)…. there is no templates, it’s all free hand…. lot of circles, trial and error…. measure twice cut once…..
I used to work with a lot of cardboard during my set build/painting days and that shit is no joke. For him (or her) to complete this whole 3D robot scene in just two days is mind-boggling. The scene includes Clank (Ratchet and Clank), Crow T. Robot (Mystery Science Theater 3000), and Bender (Futurama… but I didn’t have to tell you that right?) as the three magi, Johnny Number Five from ‘Short Circuit’ as Joseph, Rosie from the ‘Jetsons’ as the Virgin Mary, and representing the shepherd and his flock, WALL-E and an Imperial AT-AT from ‘Star Wars’. The robot representing “Baby Jesus”… I have no fuckin’ clue. Too bad it wasn’t R2-D2. I love how Johnny Five is staring down at the baby while Rosie is too busy being worried whether J5 will notice that he wasn’t the one that install the baby in her. Ratchet must know whats up cause he pointing and laughing at the fool.

Jessica Rabbit. Slave Leia. Jessica Rabbit AS Slave Leia. Bazoombas. I like it! Greek illustrator, Dimitris Samaras (AKA JimSam-X) did men (and woman) all over the world a great service by taking the voluptuous Jessica Rabbit from ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’ and dropping her into the iconic “Slave Leia” outfit from ‘Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi’. It looks like Slave Jessica is depicted singing to Jabba the Hutt on his barge or at the “Ink and Paint Club”. I guess that really doesn’t matter cause it’s JESSICA RABBIT AS SLAVE LEIA! Bazoombas.

Ben. You are one lucky kid. Awesome dad, Mike Cooper of ElectricPig put together an pretty awesome interactive cake for his son’s sixth birthday. Instead of going to the local market and picking up a less than spectacular sheet cake, Mike took it upon himself to create an amazing ‘Angry Birds’ game cake for his kid. In the video, you can see the amount of time, effort, and chocolate cake it took to put together this elaborate cake. On top of that, Mike put together some edible “Angry Birds” ammunition made of (what looks to be) modeling chocolate. This cake is not just for looks. The cake comes with a working catapult that Ben uses to to shoot the birds at the sculpture. The cake took 10 hours to make, but took Ben only a couple minutes to demolish. It seems tragic for all that work to go to waste, but from the look on Ben’s face, I think it was well worth it for Dad. Did I mention that Ben is one lucky kid?

A while back, graphic designer Joe Smith put together a pretty impressive infographic of the ‘X-Men’ universe. Everything from marital status, enemies, and even clones were put together on one simple “follow the line” family tree. Well, Joe’s follow is pretty amazing as well. Following the same idea, Joe applies his family tree design to the ‘Fantastic Four’. I love how the Yancy Street sign (representing the Yancy Street Gang) leads to “The Thing” as a nemesis. I think it is even more funnier that “The Human Torch” finds himself with a slash through his face due to his death in Fantastic Four #587. Knowing Marvel, I’m pretty sure that mark of death is just temporary. Good gawd, Galactus has a huge head in this chart!
