bewarethebatman

I’m not sure how I feel about this. During the MIP Junior Market Convention in France, Warner Bros. Animation executive VP for creative affair (shit thats a long ass title…), Sam Register announced  a new CG animated series titled ‘Beware the Batman’ will be hitting the small screen in 2013. The new series which will include executive produce Glen Murakami (Batman Beyond, Teen Titans) will feature a more classic Batman, a gun totting Alfred Pennyworth, and a sword swinging female sidekick named Katana. The new series will feature a new group of villains (that they will pull out of their asses) and some old foe from Batman’s rogue gallery. The man behind the Batman animated franchise, Bruce Timm hasn’t been mentioned in the project, but from the looks of it, WB and Glen Murakami is still squeezing as much out of Timm’s art style as they can (in which I don’t have a problem with…). As exciting as this might not sound, I just want WB to make more ‘Batman Beyond’. Is that really hard to ask? Seems like the right time to bring it back… don’t ya think?

Nothing goes together more than ‘True Blood’, ‘Teen Wolf’, and ‘Phineas and Ferb. Almost like peanut butter, chili, and tarter sauce. Regardless of the combination, its all going to happen in Phineas and Ferb. True Blood’s Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin and Michael J. Fox lends their voices to an episode of Phineas and Ferb titled “The Curse of Candace”!

After seeing the latest teen movie about a girl Kristen, and her werewolf friend Michael who are in pursuit of a vampire named Jared, Candace begins to freak herself out about becoming a vampire, especially after a real bat attacks her. Back at home, Phineas and Ferb are creating a series of gadgets to help their friends do the things that they want to do. When Candace unknowingly discovers these gadgets, they end up convincing her that she has indeed become a vampire. Meanwhile, Dr. Doofenshmirtz plans on changing the Tri-State Area into a reasonable facsimile of Gimmelshtump so that it will be easier to take over.

This episode of “Phineas and Ferb” will air on Friday October 7th, 2012 on Disney Channel. I will say that I can guarantee that Anna Paquin will NOT be showing your boobs on Phineas and Ferb. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW…………

The newest issue of Entertainment Weekly features an awesome cover and feature on the highly anticipated film, ‘The Avengers’ directed by Joss Whedon. When I saw the teaser after ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’, I was completely floored. I was amazed by how cool it all looked… That was until I saw the picture (above) of Chris Hemsworth as Thor. Holy shit man. Who the fuck, fucked up your hair? I hope this is just a bad picture, because right now, I am scared about what happened to the God of Thunder.

Also, what the fuck is up with Bruce Banner’s “duck face”. Is Ruffalo playing the Hulk or Derek Zoolander?

Hilarious! I always find it hilarious when no one questions Emma Frost’s choice of costume. She’s pretty much in lingerie and it serves no purpose other than seduction. Well, I guess Sebastian Shaw has had enough with Ms. Frost as show in this short by “Monkey and Apple” (@monkeyandapple). While trying to interrogate Wolverine, Shaw doesn’t get the results he was hoping from Emma’s powers. I guess it was the last straw and Shaw pretty much goes ape-shit about Emma Frost’s “assets” which results in my headphone speakers blowing out and loss of hearing. Now, lower the volume and enjoy!

If you follow my Twitter or my blog, you know how much I turn into a little fan girl when it comes to ‘TRON: Legacy’. So after almost one year since the release of the film in theatres, Sideshow Collectibles and Quantum Creation FX is rolling out a 1:4 scale maquette statue of my favorite character from the film, Rinzler!

In partnership with Quantum Creation FX, Sideshow Collectibles is proud to present from ‘TRON: Legacy’ the Rinzler Maquette. Capturing the masked enforcer of The Grid, each piece is individually painted and finished, with its own unique quality and detail that is the trademark of a handcrafted Sideshow Collectibles product. Presented in approximately 1:4 Scale and featuring LED light-up suit, base, and identity disks, the Rinzler Maquette is the perfect addition to any collection.

Rinzler will be out in the first quarter of 2012 and will cost you a little over 300 bucks. Is that expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Fuck yes. Now, please excuse me as I have to go and change my pants. I got a bit too excited.
