This just might be the coolest handmade ‘Portal 2′ Wheatley puppet I have ever seen. Created by graphic designer, “TRP-Chan”, this awesome Wheatly puppet features lights and movement and the best part is that it can say ten different quotes!

I absolutely loved Portal 2 and as soon as I finished it I knew I had to build myself a Wheatley. Because Wheatley is the best thing ever. This guy’ll be a prop alongside a Chell costume I’ll be wearing.
He’s roughly life-sized at approximately 12 inches across (might be an inch or two short of Wheatley’s real diameter) and works as a puppet, using the hole in his back for access to his controls. His eyeplate and eyelids both move. He also plays 10 quotes from the game. His eye is lit up in some of the pictures there.. I really wish my camera could deal with the light better. You can actually see all the details when it’s lit up, but the camera just washes them all out.

Unfortunately, TRP-Chan will not be selling this puppet and also doesn’t have the time or part to make more to sell to other Portal fans. Shucks!

pinupstormtrooper00

There is something about this picture that has me head over heels for Miss Jenasis. The whole Stormtrooper pin up thing has been done many times over in the past, but Miss Jenasis provided just more than a costume. There is something very alluring about the whole ensemble that has me hooked. Either that, or I’m just some random Star Wars perv. /shrug. Also, I really dig the custom detailed Stormtrooper helmet!

I don’t think I’ve been this happy about ‘Star Wars’ in a long time. It was announced today that fan favorite Sith Lord, Darth Maul who was cut in half at the end of ‘Episode I: Phantom Menace’ by a young Obi-Wan Kenobi will find his way back into ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’. Considering Darth Maul is my favorite Sith Lord (Vader is a close second), I was extremely disappointed to have his character be killed (or so we thought…) so quickly in the first prequel film. I guess George Lucas and Dave Filoni (Clone Wars Supervising Director) has felt the same as I did…

“I found it funny in The Phantom Menace when Darth Maul got cut in half, I thought George was definitively saying to the fans, There’s no way this character is coming back. This is not a Boba Fett/Sarlacc Pit situation where, because of fan love, Boba gets out of that thing any number of ways.’ Fast-forward ten-years, and I’m the one to bring Maul back.”

There were two things that came from Episode I-III that I love. First is Darth Maul. Second is Star Wars: The Clone Wars. So to have these come together is a dream come true. Clone Wars needs a formidable Sith Lord to go heads up against the Jedis and our favorite red and black Dathomiri Zabrak Sith Lord is the perfect character to bring mayhem to the series. I for one cannot wait!

daredemption01

Finally! The first episode of EA and BioWare produced mini-web series ‘Dragon Age: Redemption’ has been released! Written and starring the beautiful Felicia Day (@feliciaday), the story follows an Elvish assassin named Tallis. Right off the bat, Tallis is summoned to capture a Qunari Mage baddie named Saarebas. So far, the story is moving pretty fast. Considering it’s only a web series, the production is a bit small, but I have to say that the make-up and costumes looks amazing! The incredible Doug Jones looks amazing as Saarebas and I have to say, Felicia’s Talis costume and cleavage is MIGHTY impressive (I’m sorry, I could help it…). It’s going to be interesting to see where the web series goes from here. The web series is only six episodes long, so I’m pretty sure its going to be a short one. All I know is that I want to see more and I kind of want to play ‘Dragon Age’ again… I guess that’s what BioWare and EA was betting on.

himymewoks

You all know how much I hate Ewoks. I hate them with every cell in my body. On the other hand, I love ‘How I Met Your Mother’ and Barney Stinson (played beautifully by Neil Patrick Harris). Well, in the current episodes of ‘How I Met Your Mother’, Barney is involved with a gal named Nora who he is madly in love with. Unfortunately, he believes the relationship won’t work out due to the principles of “The Ewok Line”. It makes no sense what so ever, but Barney says it’s true, so it must be. Right?

BTW: I’m totally disgusted that Barney likes Ewoks, but Nora’s dislike for the furry bastards makes her extra HOT!

Hit the jump and let Barney explain, “The Ewok Principle”

I woke up extra early today to make sure I was awake when the first trailer for ‘The Avengers’ dropped this morning and I don’t regret it at all! All we’ve been able to see so far were couple shitty set spy photos and a tasty teaser at the end of ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’, but now, we have a clearer picture of what we can expect from The Avengers and I have to say that I’m fucking excited! The mix of characters and personalities in The Avengers is going to be dynamic and you can already see that between Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark and Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers. Just from what I see from the trailer, it looks like Loki will be off the rails and will be a great villain for the newly assembled team. Also, from the looks of it, RDJ is the front man and will steal the show (but did you expect otherwise). While we would have loved to see more scenes showcasing heroes interacting with other heroes, we will just have to be patient and wait till May when the film comes out. Until then, just check out the trailer and make sure you have an extra set of underwear on hand.

xmendrinks

I guess I now know why the X-Men stay to themselves and pretty much have zero social lives. Maybe it’s because NOBODY wants to hang out with them. As shown here in a video by Awkward Spaceship, it’s not the powers or hate towards mutants that keeps people from calling the X-Men for drinks, but because of these X-Men’s little annoying quirks. On the other hand, it looks like nobody hates Wolvie. Logan’s the shits!
