If you are a die-hard geek, you can’t have just any old wedding cake. Ya gotta give it a geek twist and make it one of a kind. However, if you don’t have the cash to pitch out hundreds of dollars to get a custom cake made for your wedding, why not go with a bad ass geek cake topper. Etsy community member, Hilda Fernandez (AKA HILDOOM) offers a cool variety of cute geeky cake toppers like Han Solo and Princess Leia from Star Wars (pictured above). If Star Wars isn’t your thing (and shame on you if it isn’t), she also offers custom cake toppers of Link and Zelda from… well, Zelda, Jack and Sally from Nightmare Before Christmas and Mario and Princess Peach from Super Mario Bros.! Even Luigi gets some time in the spotlight in his own cake topper with Princess Daisy! Each of these adorable cake toppers are hand sculpted and made of polymer clay and colored using acrylic paint. HILDOOM also takes special requests so if you want something different from what she has to offer on her Etsy shop, just drop her a line. Considering each of these cake toppers are each created by hand, she only charges around $85 each (more pending on the difficulty of the request)! A small price to pay to personalize your big day and to have a keepsake from your wedding that screams geek!
I too have requested the services of HILDOOM to create a one-of-a-kind cake topper for my wedding next week (and yes, I am getting married…). Unfortunately, as much as I would KILL (KILL I said!) for a pair of his and her Scout Troopers beating down on an Ewok as my cake topper, I will be getting two frogs named Kerori from Sanrio, because Mrs. geektrooper said so. Sigh~
Check out HILDOOM Etsy shop and hit the jump to see more of her awesome geek cake toppers!

Illustrator, WinterArtwork of Bridgetown, Barbados created a really cool logo for a sport teams that the people of Pandora can really get behind and root for! Dubbed, the Pandora Blueskins, Winter drew inspiration for his design by James Cameron’s epic film, Avatar and designed a logo featuring the profile of a fierce lookin’ Nav’i hunter. Whether it is for a high school or for a professional team, the design is quite bad ass! My only concern I suppose is calling the team the “Blueskins” considering all Nav’i are pretty much blue anyways. Kinda ruins the importance of the other team names in the league that may play against the Blueskins. Why not the “Mountain Banshee” or “Thanators”? Personally, I would rather just go with “Leonopteryx” AKA the “Last Shadows”. They would be like the Oakland Raiders of Pandora… but on the other hand, the Raiders blow… /shrug
WinterArtwork’s Pandora Blueskins art is available as a limited edition t-shirt on TeeFury and will only be available for 24 hours. Get to it sucka!

In 2000, artist/sculptor Cheong-ah Hwang (AKA papernoodle) started working exclusively with paper as her medium of choice when building very exquisite structures. Since then, her paper structures have been featured everywhere from art gallery, museums, and even at L’Atelier restaurant at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. Born in Seoul, Korea and now residing in Colombus, Ohio, papernoodle is now offering her brilliant paper structures on Etsy! One of the coolest items she is offering is a paper structure piece featuring the Mark III suit from the first Iron Man movie and also a Captain America based on John Romita Sr.’s interpretation of Jack Kirby’s original drawings. Referred as a bas-relief paper structure, papernoodle hand crafts each piece of paper to create a very surreal three dimensional image. Her Iron Man paper structure stands at almost one foot, yet it’s less than an inch thick. If you are interested in one of this bad ass paper structures, you can drop by papernoodle’s Etsy shop, but these won’t come cheap. Iron Man and Captain America is $250.00 each! If you do get one, just make sure you don’t spill any water on it. You’re just going to end up with a $250 flat Iron Man napkin that’s wet…

Illustrator, Mattias Adolffson of Sweden specializes in baroque-style (a popular art form from the 16-18th century) art and his love of baroque has lead him to reimagine the world of Star Wars in baroque form. If you’re still confused about what baroque is, think of it as something similar to steampunk. If you don’t know what steam punk is, I urge you to go hit up Wikipedia. Mattias has created an array of beautifully designed illustrations of the Death Star, Darth Vader, Chewbacca, Jabba the Hutt, Stormtroopers, and more. Mattias’ delightful designs gives each Star Wars character an unique and whimsical twist. Personally, I think the best of the series would have to be Boba Fett and Jabba. It’s always the baddies that look the coolest!
