Ben Fleskes of bigbenbricks.com is a brilliant designer/sculptor of making insanely difficult things out of LEGO blocks. This time, Ben created this amazing 80’s style Pac-Man arcade machine made out of LEGO blocks. Standing at 34 inches, this Pac-Man arcade machine is fully functional! Outside of the electronics, joy stick controls, speakers, and the Jamma 48-1 board that allows the player to play classic games such as retro games of the yesteryears such as Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, and Space Invaders, everything on this arcade machine is pure LEGOs. What’s even more awesome is the fact that Ben didn’t cut down or alter a single block of LEGO to fit his design. I really dig the detailed work on the Pac-Man graphics done in LEGO on the side of the cabinet and the face plate on the top of the machine. It’s freakin’ brilliant!

Choose your destination. The Dark Side or the Light Side…

Personally, I’m an avid fan of Garmin brand GPS devices, but TomTom offers an option that Garmin doesn’t. TomTom offers a feature where you can download (at a fee) different voices for their GPS systems. Well, TomTom is at it again and hooked up with Lucas Film to create voices for their GPS systems starring various Star Wars characters. First up will be Darth Vader. Followed by C-3PO, Han Solo, and of course, Master Yoda (Turn left, you will.. lmao). For a meer $12.95/€ 9,95, you can enjoy Darth Vader directing you to your favorite watering hole. My only concern I suppose would be whether or not Darth Vader’s slow speaking, mixed with breathing will cause me to miss my exit. I better not complain considering I don’t want to be Force choked like a bitch while trying to drive on the freeway.

Hit the jump to check out a hilarious video of Darth Vader in the recording studio recording his voice for TomTom!

Etsy community member, MonstersDomesticated created a really cool chest set featuring the gruesome monsters of the H.P. Lovecraft universe. Dubbed the “Cthulhu Mythos Chess Set“, each of these hideous chess pieces are hand made and not produced from a mold. This is pretty cool considering not a single piece is identical to the other. The chess pieces are sculpted out of polymer clay, painted, than sealed in a polyurethane to ensure that, as MonstersDomesticated describes it “will outlast us all…”.

We consider the black pieces to be the Cthulhoid forces, with dread Cthulhu itself as king, and menacing Dagon as swift and malevolent queen, and the mouldering green pieces to be led by Yog-Sothoth as king, in all its gibbering madness, and primordial Ubbo-Sathla as queen. Of course, you’re the cultist, so you’re entitled to assign whatever mythos iconography you like. The interpretations, fortunately for all life in this dimension, are loose.

The bishops of each side are mad alien priests, the knights grotesque mounts with vile curved spines, the rooks writhe horribly within their blasted towers. The black pawns are sinister, writhing spawn of dread Cthulhu, and the green pawns mocking little tentacular skulls.

For a shit load of cash ($420 to be precise), you can buy this vile chess set on Etsy. I personally would love to just buy a Nyarlathotep chess piece.

Oh my goodness… This is brilliant and disturbing at the same time. If you weren’t aware, Hong Kong is the world leader in the manufacturing and sales of bootleg/knock off products. No product is safe as HK has made knock offs for stuff like designer bags, jewelry, clothing, electronics, and more. One of the items that HK especially loves to produce is knock off toys. Considering criminals make over 850+ billion dollars per year on trafficking fake goods, you would think they would have the sense to create better names for some of these counterfeit toys. During an investigation by Metro.co.uk, they uncovered couple gems such as a fake Robocop figure named “Robert Cop”, Spider-man action figures under the name “Spader-man”, and a very ridculous, but brilliant Batman action figure riding a horse called the “Silver Bat”. WTF!?!

China is the centre of the world’s counterfeiting industry and, despite frequent goverment crackdowns, fakes of all major designer brands are openly on sale in street markets.

A week ago, authorities in Xiamen destroyed more than 1million fake goods by driving a steamroller over them. Among them were items branded Apple, Sony, Gucci, Mercedes-Benz and Armani. And, quite possibly, Robert Cop.

From this report, I learned three simple things.

1. Spader-man is unmatched! I don’t believe Spider-man is…
2. Robert Cop was a trilogy. (I wonder if its available on Amazon…)
3. How and where can I get my hands on a Silver Bat figure?

Also, I really need to know… WTF is a “Spader-man”? huh?
