The cool guys over at BioWorld Merchandising created a bitchin’ new bag for the upcoming “back to school” season. Ghostbusters is pretty popular right now so it makes sense that someone made a Ghostbusters back pack fashioned to look like the nuclear powered proton pack. Its pretty impressive what a simple design and silk screen process can do for a simple back pack. So far, 80’s Tees has it on their site for 40 bucks, but you will see it in your favorite comic shop very soon. You won’t be catchin’ any ghosts with this back pack and probably its only real use is to store some books and a crusty tuna sandwich, but who gives a crap? Its fucking Ghostbusters buddy!

WOW! After a less than spectacular release of a X-Men 2 Wolverine (movie version) inspired motorcycle suit, Universal Designs Replicas has released a small teaser image of their newest project, the Iron Man Mark V “Suit Case Suit” leather motorcycle suit inspired from Iron Man 2. When I first heard about this project, I was a bit skeptical considering they were planning to replicate a metal suit into leather. Well, considering this is just a teaser image, I think they did a pretty awesome job.
Devised from the latest advances in armor deployment technology, Tony Stark’s Mark V Armor is vastly more portable than his traditional Iron Man hardware… and now Universal Designs is bringing the Mark V to life as an officially licensed, ‘wearable’ form molded leather motorcycle suit.
We’re going to make the impossible… POSSIBLE!
Sure, the details on the motorcycle suit is pale in comparison to the Mark V suit in the movie, but what UDR was able to do to transer the the original conceptual art to a leather motorcycle suit is epic! I really doubt that the arc reactor on the motorcycle suit will glow like in the picture, but it would be pretty genius if it did. Expect UDR’s Mark V motorcycle suit to drop at the end of the year and expect it to cost you an arm and a leg.

In 2000, artist/sculptor Cheong-ah Hwang (AKA papernoodle) started working exclusively with paper as her medium of choice when building very exquisite structures. Since then, her paper structures have been featured everywhere from art gallery, museums, and even at L’Atelier restaurant at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas. Born in Seoul, Korea and now residing in Colombus, Ohio, papernoodle is now offering her brilliant paper structures on Etsy! One of the coolest items she is offering is a paper structure piece featuring the Mark III suit from the first Iron Man movie and also a Captain America based on John Romita Sr.’s interpretation of Jack Kirby’s original drawings. Referred as a bas-relief paper structure, papernoodle hand crafts each piece of paper to create a very surreal three dimensional image. Her Iron Man paper structure stands at almost one foot, yet it’s less than an inch thick. If you are interested in one of this bad ass paper structures, you can drop by papernoodle’s Etsy shop, but these won’t come cheap. Iron Man and Captain America is $250.00 each! If you do get one, just make sure you don’t spill any water on it. You’re just going to end up with a $250 flat Iron Man napkin that’s wet…

Wow… This is new… Apparently, Square Enix Products (the merchandise division of SQEX) is now making toys for anime and manga as well. It was pretty surprising that SQEX Products was gonna produce toys for other gaming companies like Capcom (Devil May Cry) and SEGA (Bayonetta), but I guess due to the huge success of SQEX’s figures, now Shueisha (the publisher of Jump Comics in Japan) has asked SQEX to make figures based on Tite Kubo’s Bleach manga/anime series. Right out of the gates, we are getting three figures off of Play Arts Kai~ action figure line, we are going to get Rukia Kuchiki (right), 10th division captain Tōshirō Hitsugaya, and Bankai form Ichigo Kurosaki! Holy shit these are going to be SOOOOO GAWD DAMN BAD ASSSSS!!! Many have tried to make Bleach figures in the past including Bandai Megahouse (who made brilliant PVC statues) and also Toynami (whos figures were a bit less articulate). Considering these bad ass shinigami (soul reapers) masters of the blade will be made in Play Art Kai~, we can guarantee three things. They are going to be huge, the articulation is going to be brilliant, and they are going to PWN!
Each of these will go for about $42 and will be available in stores in November! Hit the jump to check out more pix from the collection!
