Remember back when The Phantom Menace hasn’t been released yet and then Lucasfilm and John Williams decided to be a giant cock tease by dropping “Dual of the Fates” on our sorry asses weeks before the movie release? Well, I do. I remember hearing that epic score for the first time on MTV and losing my shit from the sheer epicness of the music. Well, funny thing is, I always wondered what the hell the chorus was saying in the song. Well, after over a decade, we finally know. SLLLOOWWWW DOOOOWWWWNNNNN…. COLAAAAA!

At a time when glasses have become such a cool fashion statement that people are willing to wear them without the lenses, Gizmine has up the cool factor on glasses by releasing a collection of Star Wars inspired specs.

If you’re looking for the edge of the George Lucas media empire, you’ve come to the wrong place. I, for one, have been bubbling with joy since stumbling across these beautifully crafted Star Wars glasses in 5 styles (Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, Stormtrooper and Boba Fett). The subtle design features let you show your true colors, regardless of your setting. And when you pass another Star Wars fan on the street, you can nod in acknowledgement that you know whose side they’re on (or give them the stink-eye if they’re allegiance is to the dark side). May the force be with you….is written on the inside cover of the case for an extra touch.

They are simple, but elegant and a perfect addition to any Star Wars fan’s outfit. Each pair of glasses is unique in design and is fitting of the character that it represents. As you might have already figured out, the Stormtrooper glasses has to be my favorite. If you have to get one of these glasses on your face, it will cost you a cool 500 credits each and will be available at the end of October.

I hate it when Japan gets bad ass stuff and we don’t. Seiko Japan just dropped a line of luxurious Star Wars inspired wrist watches that will wet any Star Wars fan’s panties. These brilliant timepieces are limited edition (ranging from 500-1500 pieces) and will cost you around $1,800.00 (oh shit…). Each of these beautiful wristwatches are unique to each character such as R2-D2 Seiko Brightz watch that features a 300DPI screen that plays clips from the films and the Darth Vader watch comes “blinged” out with some little diamonds. My favorite has to be the Stormtrooper Seiko watch. Who doesn’t love a pearl white dial with a sexy Imperial logo embedded in it? Unfortunately, it’s going to be hard to pull 1,800 bucks out of my wallet without hurting. If you can afford to spoiled yourself with such beautiful watches, you can find them on Amazon.co.jp.

Who said you can’t be a Star Wars fan and fashionable at the same time? Crissy Baker and the ladies of Nerd Alert Designs put together an amazing collection of one-of-a-kind handmade Star Wars themed dresses and costumes for women. They have created some sexy costumes designed to look like a wampa (which is BAD ASS) and ewoks (which I don’t like too much because I HATE ewoks…). My favorites of Nerd Alert Designs’ collection has to be the “day to night” dresses. You can proudly represent the Galactic Empire in the daytime at work and also in the evening during a night out in the town. Each dress and costume is made to order by hand and run you about $90-150. The Force is strong with these dresses.

You can pick order your favorite at Nerd Alert Designs’ Etsy shop! Hit the jump and check out the collection!

Oh my Sith Lord. Season five of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS looks like it’s about to take Clone Wars to the next level. With the return of Darth Maul at the end of season four, we knew in our bones that season five is going to explode. Based on the trailer for season five, I think we were underestimating how far over the top supervising director, Dave Filoni and Lucasfilm was planning on taking Clone Wars. Premiering at Star Wars Celebrations VI, season five looks to be an all out assault by Maul, Savage Opress, and their new Mandelorian allies on both the Jedi and the Sith. What drove me bonkers had to be the reveal of Darth Sidious’ dual lightsabers and his message to Maul that there can only be two (Sith Lords) before attacking Maul and Savage Opress. It looks like multiple factions and storylines will be going at full force in season five and it will be interesting how it will all laid out in the new season. It will also be interesting to see the return of the Mandelorians and also find out the fate of Darth Maul and Savage Opress. I can’t wait!

swdetours

Straight from the team behind Robot Chicken comes Star Wars Detours! Revealed during the “Super Secret Star Wars Panel with Todd Grimes, Seth Green & Matt Senreich” at Star Wars Celebration VI, Star Wars Detours is animated series revealing the untold stories in the Star Wars universe.

Star Wars Detours™ is an animated comedy that explores what daily life is like in a galaxy far, far away. There are no Empires striking back or attacking clones here. Instead, Star Wars Detours focuses on the universe’s regular folks and their everyday problems… which, to be fair, do frequently involve famous bounty hunters, crazed Ewoks, and even a Dark Lord of the Sith.

I find this to be pretty freakin’ hilarious and I can’t wait to see more! Hit the jump and check out the trailer and some preview clips!
