Geez. 20th Century Fox just can’t seem to get it right can they? First, Fox released a set of INSANELY terrible poster where it’s the silouhette of Xavier and Magneto with their heads floating around their crotch, and now Fox released a poster in the United Kingdom featuring the cast of First Class that looks like an amateur graphic artist did while drunk on a liter of tequila. The poster features the cast randomly placed around the poster which look innocent enough, but if you look closer, it seems like each character is lit from different light source from each other. Sure, they have the same reflection, but whats up with the brightness and contrast between Xavier and Magnetos versus Emma Frost and Dr. Moira MacTaggart? It’s obvious that the poster was created from multiple different pictures and the artist didn’t take the time to make sure each picture looked similar to each other. Come on Fox. Even I could do that and I suck on Photoshop. Please create a poster that is fitting to the amazing trailer you released before. You’re doing it wrong. If I ever see a graphic designer’s resume or portfolio and see that they worked on the ‘X-Men: First Class’ poster, I’m going to kick them in the shin and laugh at them.

I have no idea how and why I didn’t post this yesterday, but I say its better late than never. Last week, I featured some news regarding Arnold Schwarzenegger and Stan Lee developing an animated series called “The Governator” for 2012. Well, now there is a trailer and I have to say that I have some very strong mixed emotions about this one. While the animation seems to be okay (thanks to Korea and China) and has a hint of anime influences, the ridiculous nonsense featured in the trailer shows a wide variety of ideas that were stolen elsewhere. I see a little of Batman, TRON, G.I. Joe, Ghost in the Shell, and Transformers in this little trailer. There even some bullet dodging ‘Matrix’ action in the show (What year is this? 2001?!). The series looks be a horrid train wreck, but I also am suspicious whether this was intentional or not. Is it possible that something can be so bad that it makes a full circle and becomes good? I’m not sure about you, but I will be tuning in to check out ‘The Governator’ in 2012.

ThinkGeek has been infamous for their April Fool’s Day tricks for many years now. When April 1st comes around, ThinkGeek features products that you would kill to own. Unfortunately, as soon as you try to add the product in your shopping cart, you get a huge pop up tell you “April Fools” in which you have mixed emotions of sadness, embarrassment, and anger. It’s not all bad. Sometimes, an April Fools item can be so awesome that the fans demand it to be made and in fact it does. Where do you think the Star Wars TaunTaun sleeping bag came from? April 1, 2009 of course! I just wanted to take the time to spotlight some of this years best from ThinkGeek. Hopefully, with enough people bitching, these can become real in the near future.

Thank you MTV. Thank you for messing with something as pure and innocent as ‘Teen Wolf’ and raping it. Cinematical featured a trailer for MTV’s new series, ‘Teen Wolf’ based on the 1985 film (by the same name) starring Michael J. Fox. ‘Teen Wolf’ was a big deal back than considering Fox just came off of ‘Back to the Future Part I’. Teen Wolf has become a cult hit since than and the name of Scott Howard will forever be embedded in our memories. While the original Teen Wolf featured a goofy and comical side of becoming a werewolf, MTV’s version follows the cookie cutter formula of combining supernatural creatures with teen angst. ‘Twilight’, ‘The Vampire Dairies’, and ‘Being Human’ has already done this “idea” with great success, but I just don’t see Teen Wolf being anywhere near as good. MTV isn’t known for their original series and most of them are pretty bad. Not since ‘Beavis and Butthead’, ‘Daria’, and ‘My So Called Life’ has MTV featured any really good original programming. Now, with the era of ‘Jersey Shore’ and other “Real World”-type madness, you would think rebooting Teen Wolf would be a bad idea. Unfortunately, nobody at MTV stopped this from happening and now we all have to pay for it. Jason Bateman is somewhere right now thanking God that he will not be going down in history as the worst Teen Wolf ever. Tyler Posey is. Fuck you MTV!

Holy crap. This is so freakin’ stupid it makes my head hurt. For those of you that may be insanely jealous when someone has “in a relationship” updated posted on their Facebook account and want one as well, you can actually pay for one. Introducing, Cloud Girlfriend! Cloud Girlfriend will be a service where they will make your “dream girl” for you to connect with on your favorite social network sites like Facebook and chat with you publicly for everyone to see.
Step 1: Define your perfect girlfriend.
Step 2: We bring her into existence.
Step 3: Connect and interact with her publicly on your favorite social network
Step 4: Enjoy a public long distance relationship with your perfect girl.
What the hell is going on with this world where such a service exists. Are people so lazy that they can’t just go and make a second account and do it themselves. What happens if you can’t pay for the service anymore? Do you fake break up? It boggles the mind. Cloud Girlfriend’s services are not available yet and I’m not sure if its going to catch on and if it does, God save us all.

You won’t like me when I’m angry… birds.
I can’t help but laugh about how ridiculously stupid and funny this trailer is. Rooster Teeth (the team that brought you ‘Red Vs. Blue’) decided to create a live action trailer that answers the questions: “What would an Angry Birds’ movie looks like IF it was directed by Michael Bay?” Incorporating cheesy dialogue and one liners with senseless action sequences and odd slow motion scenes, this trailer showcases all the tricks up Michael Bay’s sleeve. One thing you may know, I hate Michael Bay. He pretty much single-handedly raped ‘Transformers’ and I can’t forgive him for that. Thankfully this is not a trailer for a real movie and we are all safe from an such a stupid movie. However, Angry Birds is very popular and it could happen. Wouldn’t that be a bitch…

Sometimes, putting yourself out there will help your chances in finding great opportunities. That is the case with Michelle Coyle (@michellecoyle) who sent out a video “Open Letter” directed to J.J. Abrams, Damon Lindelof, Bryan Burk, Kurtzman and Orci, and the team at Bad Robot. Her objective? To be cast in JJ Abram’s next ‘Star Trek’ movie or any other projects in development in film and television. Seems like great timing considering Abrams has confirmed that the new script for ‘Star Trek 2′ is indeed finished. After checking out the video, I have to say that there seems to be hint of desperation from Michelle to be in anything that Abrams is working on. Either shes a huge fan girl of Abram’s work or… shes looking for a different option because her open letter to Ronald D. Moore to be cast in ‘Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome’ didn’t pan out the way she expected. All I can say is I am impressed by your determination and I wish you all the luck. Somebody “pity cast” her in something already…
