I love ‘Star Wars’. I love ‘Game of Thrones’. So there’s very little I can complain about this crazy mash-up illustration titled ‘Game of Clones’ by Dave Styer (@geekleetist). The only complaint I would have is why can’t this be a Scout Trooper sitting on a throne covered in Ewok fur and skulls? I would enjoy that very much. If you enjoy this illustration as much as I did, you can pick up a print, shirt, or hoodie on Society6!

Holy shit! Holy shit! Holy shit! Remember back in ‘97 when we all used to watch Disney’s cartoons after school and on Saturday mornings? Well, I do and I have fond memories tuning in for Disney’s ‘Recess’ (even though I was already in high school… /facepalm). Imagine my surprise when I find out that in one of the episodes a certain gentleman in a brown trench coat and dapper blue suit makes an appearance. Could this be the Tenth Doctor?! Did the TARDIS and the Doctor land at Third Street School to help T.J. and his crew? Probably not… but it’s nice to think that he did.

Like many ‘Star Wars’ fans, we just can’t get the image of Luke getting tucked away neatly inside the stomach of a TaunTaun by Han Solo in ‘The Empire Strikes Back’. It looked pretty gross and kind of made you think that you can smell it as well. Well, thanks to Erin AKA CruxisAurion, we kind of get a “unofficial” glimpse into what it may look like inside.
It’s a Tauntaun skeleton!
I used an image of a Tauntaun, that I found online, to get the the proportions correct. Then I began designing the creature’s skeleton based on actual animals, and using educated guesses, I imagined what the skeleton of this creature would look like if it were real. After the design was approved by my teacher, I drew the skeleton in pencil VERY TEDIOUSLY, and then went about colouring it.
Yeah, sure… the illustration doesn’t show the guts and the intestines like we want, but this is pretty cool anyhow. I can just imagine Luke stuffed inside that TaunTaun like a chicken in a turducken. Also, wouldn’t be awesome to go to a museum and see a skeleton of a TaunTaun or even a Rancor? It sure beats looking at stuffed elephants and antelopes.

Yay! A new ‘Doctor Who’ inspired tee! Illustrator, Mike Dimayuga of San Joaquin County, CA (@theothermiked) created this pretty awesome tee inspired the hideous baddies, “The Weeping Angels” from Doctor Who. Titled, “Don’t Blink”, the tee features a weeping angel with a fair warning on the bottom. I especially like the TARDIS included as the letter “i”. The “Don’t Blink” tee will be available at RIPT Apparel only for today (2/8/2011) at $10 each! I already ordered mine! You can check out Mike’s amazing work at his deviant art page!

Stay on target…. meow….
Hummm… It looks like today is a “tee” kind of day. I ran into this adorable design on DistractedbyStarWars recently and I haven’t been able to shake this design out of my head. Seattle native artist, olechka has been creating brilliant illustration and featuring them on redbubble. I would have to say that “Nom Star” has to be olechka’s best so far. A kitty playing with a Death Star ball of yarn? I’m sold! I wish this illustration can really happen in real life, but I also don’t want to see the cat blow up when the Death Star yarn ball does. You can get this or any of olechka’s illustrations made into a tee of your choice at redbubble.

Unfortunately, I rarely ever buy any “one day special” tees you find on various sites, but I can’t help but love the “shirt of the day” at woot. Titled, “Pull Up, You Fools!”, this shirt is a pretty funny parody of the infamous attack on the Death Star in ‘Star Wars A New Hope’. Evan Ferstenfeld and Davide Zampedri’s design is really creative with the use of a Death Star shaped cheese ball attracting Rogue mice into its “trap”. I realize that the Rogue fighter pilots are mice, but WHAT THE HELL IS ACKBAR? Snot?
The shirt is on sale today (02/03/2011) for only $10!

First of all. Lets put this out there. This is a fan-made poster. Now, with all the speculation on the web regarding Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s involvement in Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, it seems that people already forgotten about Anne Hathaway (playing Selina Kyle/Catwoman) and Tom Hardy (playing Bane). Well, with the news of Anne Hathaway’s casting in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, graphic artists around the world have already flooded the web with custom images of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. Most are pretty lame and not worth mentioning, but this little gem discovered on IHeartChaos is freakin’ amazing! Sure, Hathaway’s face is not in the picture, but the theme of the poster is beautiful and follows that of ‘Batman Begins’ and ‘The Dark Knight’. If this fan-made poster ever gets printed, I’ll be forking over my credits for it without a second thought. I wish I knew who made this poster to give them some love, but unfortunately, the creator is unknown (at the moment). I wish I can thank the artist cause his Catwoman seriously has all the right curves in this poster. Hubba hubba…
