addict

I want! Back in 2008, Addict released a collection of ‘Star Wars’ tee designed by the infamous “Mitch“. Three years later (and much anticipation), they are back at it with the “Addict x Star Wars Icon Series 2″ collection. Unlike the first series, Icon Series 2 will be themed after ‘Empire Strikes Back’.  Mitch designed three amazing shirts this time. You have your pick between an AT-AT Pilot, Snowtrooper, and the very popular Boba Fett. Each design is available in black or white and just like the first series, it will be limited. Mitch is well know for is hand-drawn vector style and his use to colors. I am particularly a fan of his AT-AT Pilot. The use to gray and tan on the uniform with clean lines to show weathering makes this design quite awesome. It is a shame that there are only three designs available and we may or may not get to see more for another three years. If you are interested in these, you will have to buy them from Addict’s online shop. The problem is the currency is different (each shirt goes for £25.00), and you will most likely have to pay a higher shipping price because they are coming from the United Kingdom. Even with those little problems, the tees are definitely worth the money.

doctorwhoinforgraphic

I love infographics. Especially when its feature original artwork. UK artist, Bob Canada created this impressive infographic featuring all the various Doctors from the ‘Doctor Who’ series. Not only do you get a nice illustration of each Doctor, we also get a brief fun fact about each of them. I wish I had this infographic last year when I spent two hours trying to explain Doctor Who to my wife (who never got it…). A visual aid makes everything easier!  Is it just me or does the Eleventh Doctor (played by Matt Smith) oddly has a huge nose and looks very sleepy in this illustration?

dontblink

Yay! A new ‘Doctor Who’ inspired tee! Illustrator, Mike Dimayuga of San Joaquin County, CA (@theothermiked) created this pretty awesome tee inspired the hideous baddies, “The Weeping Angels” from Doctor Who. Titled, “Don’t Blink”, the tee features a weeping angel with a fair warning on the bottom. I especially like the TARDIS included as the letter “i”. The “Don’t Blink” tee will be available at RIPT Apparel only for today (2/8/2011) at $10 each! I already ordered mine! You can check out Mike’s amazing work at his deviant art page!

amecomi

I’m very torn about what I want to write about the picture above. So instead of going into my usual rant and go wiki on your ass, I’m going to keep it easy to understand by simply quoting ToplessRobot.

These are costumes… based on collector’s figurines… of anime-inspired redesigns… of DC superheroines. That’s fucking insane.

That makes sense right? Right? Couple years ago, DC decided to bring over the wonders of Japanese anime and apply it to the DC Universe. Titled, “Ame-Comi”, the final product developed into a line of action figures. About two figures are released bi-monthly and it’s been a “hit or miss” so far. As you may know, I’m a huge collector of toys, and these have been a miss. Well, maybe I’ll change my mind consider CostumeCraze decided to take these toy designs and make costumes out of them. These costumes are definitely not for little kids. They tried to apply the sexy appeal of the Ame-Comi designs and I think they succeeded. Usually, stripper versions of superhero costumes don’t work out, but as confusing as this all sounds, CostumeCraze pulled it off. The reason I may change my mind regarding “Ame-Comi” is very simple. Boobs.

CostumeCraze is planning to release “Ame-Comi” Wonder Woman, Supergirl, and Catwoman by the summer (perfect for convention season!). I hope they make Ame-Comi Joker Girl. Hit the jump to check out CostumeCraze’s Ame-Comi costumes.

nomstar

Stay on target…. meow….

Hummm… It looks like today is a “tee” kind of day. I ran into this adorable design on DistractedbyStarWars recently and I haven’t been able to shake this design out of my head. Seattle native artist, olechka has been creating brilliant illustration and featuring them on redbubble.  I would have to say that “Nom Star” has to be olechka’s best so far. A kitty playing with a Death Star ball of yarn? I’m sold! I wish this illustration can really happen in real life, but I also don’t want to see the cat blow up when the Death Star yarn ball does. You can get this or any of olechka’s illustrations made into a tee of your choice at redbubble.

snorlaxdress

Freakin’ awesome. When invited to a friend’s ‘Poke’mon’ themed birthday party, Betty Felon (@lesvillainettes) decided to create a handmade Snorlax bubble-dress (I’m not sure what a bubble-dress is… sorry…). Everyone loves the sleepy bastard and I can’t help, but fall in love with this design. Snorlax’s signature sleepy facial expression and enormous belly is well put together on this dress by Betty. It is quite adorable in my opinion. The poke’ball bracelet is a nice touch as well. Well done Betty! You can follow Betty’s geeky creations at her tumblr site, Fashion Tips from Comic Strips.

zombiehoodie03

Zombies are HUGE right now! So it’s fitting that geek extroidinare online retailer, ThinkGeek created this pretty awesome zombie attack themed hooded sweater. Unfortunately, you aren’t a survivor, and succumbed to the zombie apocalypse. The hoodie features bloody gashes, bandaged bite marks, and even an exposed spine on the back. On top of that, the inside of the hood is lined to look like your brain. Sick!

It was nice knowing you.

This hoodie features the battle scars you earned in your fight with the zombie hordes. Clearly, you’ve had better days. There are bloody handprints near the pockets and slashes across the chest. There’s a deep slash across the back that reveals your exposed spine. There’s a bandage on your left wrist revealing bite marks. There’s a chunk of missing skull on the back of the hood, which is lined in brains. We’d say you ought to get that looked at, except there’s a pretty massive blood spatter on the front of the hood around the area where your mouth would be. Which implies that you ain’t one of us any more. But you put up a valiant fight, and for that we salute you. But we’re not taking the helmet off, no how, no way.

This little fashionable badassery is available at ThinkGeek for a meer $59.99!
