The scariest villain of all: Unoriginality… and a cold that beats your ass into submission…

Well, the week is pretty much over and everyone is gonna head into the weekend to get some well deserved R&R. If you weren’t aware, I’ve been sick with a MASSIVE fuckin’ cold since Sunday and it’s not really letting up. With the kind of head aches I am getting, I think I finally figured out what the hell those Chumbawamba guys were singing about. Regardless, I wanna finish this weekend updates on iGT with something funny and educational. Thanks to CollegeHumor’s new original video, we learn a lesson that sometimes quality is better than quantity. Have a great weekend folks! HACK HACK COUGH COUGH HACK!

If you are an avid fan of comics, you should know the insignia, AH!. AH! of course is the signature tag of comic artist, Adam Hughes. Adam Hughes has been a huge fan favorite due to his uncanny ability to draw extraordinarily sexy and voluptuous female characters. Personally, as an avid fan of comic book art, Adam Hughes would be definitely considered as the Norman Rockwell of the comic book world. AH!’s recent stint on DC ComicsCatwoman and Wonder Woman has been very popular among comic and art enthusiasts. It looks like game designer, SEGA recognized this as well, as SEGA recently commissioned AH! to draw Bayonetta from their highly popular shoot’em up game of the same name. Considering, Bayonetta was already a dead sexy character just on her own, but with the AH! twist, she is mouth watering sexy. Oh, how I envy you Mr. Hughes.

If you live under a rock and haven’t noticed, Square Enix merchandise division, Square Enix Products is taking no prisoners when it comes to making toys outside the world of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts. First, Capcom’s Devil May Cry, then Sega’s Bayonetta, and now Konami’s Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker! Whats really cool about MGS:PW is that fact that this will be the first MGS portable game that will be directed by Hideo Kojima himself. Now, enough about that. Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker is a prequel so the hero of the game will be none other than Naked Snake (best name EVER!). Later this year, SQEX will be giving Naked Snake the “Play Arts Kai~” treatment which is SQEX’s signature action figure line. As you find with majority of SQEX’s toys, you will be amazing sculpts and even more amazing paint job. Standing at a tall 10 inch (bigger than the average action figure you find at Walmart), Naked Snake comes with an array of weapons, a shield, and a side of bad ass-ness.

GRADE: 9 out of 10 dead Ewoks. A MUST buy!

If you boys (or girls) are getting bored and lonely playing Modern Warfare 2 by yourself, then GameCrush might be exactly what you are looking for. Launched on March 23rd, GameCrush is offering a service where XBox Live players can pay for the services of a “PlayDate” to play with you on games such as Modern Warfare II, Gears of War 2, Halo 3, etc. What exactly is a “PlayDate”. For a little over 8 bucks a game, over 1200+ PlayDates are available on GameCrush to provide a mix of flirt and head shots.

On GameCrush, guys are Players and girls are PlayDates. Players pay to play and PlayDates get paid to play. Guys can browse PlayDate profiles (there are currently around 1,200), view photos, and even chat with girls for free. Publicityhazard’s turn ons include vibrating controllers, for instance, and is turned off by three red lights. Once you find a gal you fancy you send her a game invite and if she accepts you get six to ten minutes of one-on-one gaming time. PlayDates have the ability to block any guy they want for any reason. When the service launches tomorrow it will only support the Xbox 360 and a few casual games hosted on the GameCrush website.

You must be 18 or over to create a GameCrush account — it’s being touted as the first social site for adult gamers. It’s not an explicitly explicit service, but PlayDates set their gaming mood to either “flirty” or “dirty.” What the two of you chat about is entirely up to you. Signing up is free, but you must purchase credits in order to get your game on. For $8.25 you get 500 credits, which is enough for one game (400 credits) and a 100 credit tip at the end. An Xbox Live game will last 10 minutes, while a casual Flash game will get you six minutes of face time with your PlayDate. That’s literal face time, because you can video chat with your lady while playing a casual Flash game. Again, what goes on in that video chat is up to you and your PlayDate. GameCrush says it modeled its pricing structure after the cost of buying a girl a drink at a bar. In a bar, you’re basically buying the opportunity to chat a girl up. GameCrush is hoping players will look at their service the same way.

Currently, the GameCrush site went down due to the massive amount of inquiries that the site is getting from players. Considering the service only provides a few XBox title games and a couple random casual games such as online chess, if GameCrush takes off, there are plans to extend the services to Playstation, Wii and World of Warcraft players. Now the question is, what are we expected to see from these PlayDates. I guess it all depends on who the PlayDate is. PlayDates are independent gamer gals and not part of GameCrush’s staff. Anyone can apply to be a PlayDate so the “service” provide will vary pending on the PlayDate. Considering the price, expect to pay and “arm and a leg” or more for these PlayDates to “play”.

Oh my, oh my… Oh how I love Japanese female cosplayers. Japan’s cosplay community has an insane ability to produce mind blowing hand made costumes. Japan’s cosplayers really go all out when it comes to wigs, costumes, accessories, weapons, make up, etc. Their uncanny ability to design and produce costumes based on two dimensional anime and CGI video game characters and their relentless attention to details makes cosplayers in Japan the best in the world. I guess it wasn’t a big surprise to come upon these three lovely ladies donning cosplay costumes of Vanille, Hope, and Lighting from Square Enix’s newest release epic, Final Fantasy XIII. Considering I would love to give credit where its due, I just don’t have names for these three gorgeous cosplayers. Regardless, great job ladies. (/drool)
