I don’t think there is anyone on television as witty as Stephen Colbert (of ‘The Colbert Report’ on Comedy Central). So it wasn’t a surprise to me when he blasted Mike Hukabee regarding his rude public comments about Natalie Portman being an bad example of the problem with people having a child out of wedlock. With Hukabee’s conservative views came a “hucka-bomb” by Colbert regarding Hukabee’s possible alliance to the Sith from ‘Star Wars’.

“Look, I’m no fan of single mothers either. But it’s Natalie Portman we’re talking about. That kid she’s pregnant with is Luke Skywalker! So logically, if you’re against her pregnancy that means you’ve aligned yourself politically with Emperor Palpatine. You’re alienating all of Tatooine. It’s a swing planet.”

Colbert, you witty bastard. It made no sense, and made complete sense. I guess that is the genius of Stephen Colbert. BTW: The Sith wouldn’t accept Hukabee either. Sith loves people who take responsibility for their children.

I have been hesitant to post anything about Charlie Sheen and decided I was only going to waste one post on the fallen Hollywood star. Well, after a week of random quotes that moved onto becoming legendary memes such as “Tiger Blood” and “Adonis DNA”, “The Gregory Bros” AKA “Auto-Tuning the News (@autotunethenews) created a pretty hilarious song using some of Sheen’s more memorable quotes from recent interviews. Titled, “WINNING – a song by Charlie Sheen”, this music video (with the help of “auto-tuning), makes Charlie Sheen even more mad than he already is. It’s worth the watch. As I mentioned before, this will be my first and last post regarding Charlie Sheen UNLESS something crazy happens like a sequel to ‘Hot Shots’ or ‘Major League’.

Even though this took place in Japan, the World is feeling the affects of this disaster. Everywhere from Hawaii to the coasts of California. If you are like me, you are greatly affected by whats going on and looking for ways to help. Thanks to ‘Star Trek’ icon, George Takei (@georgetakei), he is using his star-power to help raise money for relief efforts for the people of Japan. You can help by texting “REDCROSS” to 90999 to donate $10. It might not be a large amount, but with the help of millions, we can help Japan get over this tragedy and get them back to their feet. You can also follow George Takei’s Twitter to get some news regarding what is happening in Japan or you can check out Gizmodo.com for more in-depth coverage that is informative and shocking.

Last night, Northern Japan was hit with a 8.9 earthquake (in which registered as the seventh largest earthquake ever recorded on Earth) and also hit with 10+ meter tall tsunami waves. The tsunami is currently put Hawaii and other western coastal cities such as San Francisco on alert. Even though this earthquake has hit Japan, the whole world is feeling Japan’s pain through the news. Considering my blog was made to make people laugh, I think it is only right to not update any new posts today. I just want to ask everyone to take today to hope for the best for the the country of Japan and it’s people. Also, hope that tragedy does not strike Hawaii or any other country/state. If you have friends in Japan and Hawaii like I do, my heart and prayer goes out to your loved ones. Thanks.

Wow. It’s like some kind of wet dream. If you are one of those people that says that they never watched an episode of Power Rangers growing up, I have to call you a fuckin’ liar. Power Rangers were a part of our childhood and it was impossible to avoid. Well, considering I will say I did watch the show (especially Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) and collected the toys, I would have to say that this is one of the coolest things I have ever seen. In a recent episode of Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger (the 2011 version of the Super Sentai which is the regular name known in Japan), every single Power Ranger ever created in every variation all united together to fight a large army of baddies. It is pretty impressive as there are hundreds of “Rangers” over the years from all the different shows. Well, lead by the Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger Red Ranger, the group goes to battle and saves the day. It was kind of like playing Where’s Waldo trying to find my favorite Power Ranger, the White Ranger from MMPR.

Silly Jedi… Do not underestimate the power of the DARKSIDE!

I want a daughter, JUST LIKE HER! Located at the “Tomorrowland Terrace Stage” in Disneyland, the ‘Star Wars’ stage show, “Jedi Training Academy” invites a select few children (usually around 4-12 years old) to wear the signature Jedi robe and join a “Jedi Master” on stage. During the show, the “Padawans” are taught the sacred Jedi Oath and given a lesson on how to use a lightsaber like a real Jedi Master. As a kicker, Darth Vader and a couple Stormtroopers makes their way onto the stage where the Padawans use their new skills to defeat the Sith Lord. After the “Dark Side” is defeated, the audience cheers and that is the end of the stage show. Well, that’s how it usually goes down. However, things do not go as planned when Sariah Gallego is confronted by Darth Vader. Instead of fighting Vader, cute Sariah kneels in front of the Sith Lord showing her true allegiance to the Dark Side and the Empire. As it happens, the audience erupts and the Jedi Master seems a bit shocked. He suggests that Sariah finds her way to the “Sith Academy” instead. I love how the Stormtrooper does a fist pump when it all goes down. Watching this video caused me tear up a bit and made me proud to be part of the Empire. Hail, Darth Sariah Gallego!

Well, it looks like director Jon M. Chu (Step Up 3D, Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never 3D) is going to have to look for a new Baroness for “G.I. Joe 2″. Sienna Miller, who played the stunning Baroness in ‘G.I. Joe: The Rise of COBRA’ has told Britain’s Time Out magazine that during the shooting of the first film, she was very unhappy due to the reason that she felt that she compromised her own values even though she received a hefty paycheck for sporting skin-tight leather and shooting guns.

It was what it was, but I compromised my own values to a certain degree and I didn’t feel good about that.

I’m not very good at fighting. And I’m not very good at guns. And I’m not particularly aggressive. I had to wear sunglasses because every time I shot my gun I would blink. I was completely out of place, like this little midget running round in black leather winning fights, which was just absurd. They did a wondrous job with my wardrobe to make me look threatening.

G.I. Joe (was) a great pay cheque. If, financially, I’m okay – which luckily I am – there’s no point in doing stuff that’s not right for me. It’s too much time away from home.

I’m not sure what all the fuss is about considering how corny the movie was, I felt that Miller’s Baroness was one of the bright spots. I can respect the fact that she doesn’t want to be away from home, but you would think she would have known the sacrifices that must be made to be part of a huge blockbuster franchise like G.I. Joe. However, the idea of Sienna’s task of playing the role of Baroness would lead to “compromising her own values” seems a bit dramatic. Maybe she bite more than she can chew? Who knows. Only Sienna Miller would know the answer to that.

With this interview, maybe there is some truth to FusedFilm’s article regarding the recasting of Baroness and Rex Lewis AKA Cobra Commander. Sienna wasn’t happy and won’t resign and Joseph Gordon Levitt is a stud in Hollywood and is booked on multiple projects and his schedule is full. Regardless, Paramount will move on and I’m pretty sure G.I. Joe 2 will be as entertaining as the first (unless Jon Chu fucks it up…). I just pray they don’t bring back Marlon Wayans (Ripcord) because his character was terrible.

Anyone up for Kate Beckinsale as Baroness?
