‘Star Wars’ and LEGOs goes together like  peanut butter and jelly. So it wasn’t surprising to hear that LEGOLAND is creature a new feature in its amusement park called “Star Wars Miniland”. Opening in March 2011, Star Wars Miniland will feature various scenes from all six Star Wars movies and from the animated series, ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’. It took over 1.5 million LEGO pieces to create the various characters and ships found in Star Wars such as the Millennium Falcon, X-Wing, AT-AT, and even a miniature Luke Skywalker in Hoth Gear riding a TaunTaun from ‘Empire Strikes Back’.  Like many of you, I will be making the trek out to Carlsbad, California for the opening of the park. Gamespot recently did a Q&A with Rocksteady Studios’ game director, Sefton Hill regarding what we can expect in ‘Batman: Arkham City”. Hill reveals that unlike the first game, ‘Batman: Arkham Asylum’, Arkham City’s scale will be much larger. Location is key as Batman will get out of the Asylum to the mean streets of Arkham City where various missions and baddies awaits. Hill explains that Arkham City is close to five times larger than the Asylum. Considering that Batman: Arkham is a character driven game, Rocksteady is making efforts to improve and tweak the various flaws found in the first game such as a weak “detective vision” feature and some of it’s combat system. Unfortunately, Hill gives no clue or confirmation regarding the multiplayer option in Arkham City. With all that being said, what we can expect is a much better gaming experience from Batman: Arkham City. I’m looking forward to it! You can read the full article at GS.

The long awaited trailer for Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s (Shaun of the Dead. Hot Fuzz) new comedy, ‘Paul‘ is finally out! This sci-fi comedy adventure looks laugh-out-loud funny with a good mix of slap-stick and witty humor that you usually find from Simon Pegg and Nick Frost. Also, the very hot Kristin Wiig co-stars in this star studded flick.

Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America’s UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever. For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-travelling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town—a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Collings (Frost). Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes.

The feedback from early test screenings from ‘Paul’ has been positive and there is a growing fan base for this movie. If it is anywhere near as funny and clever as Pegg and Frost’s earlier comedy projects, I am sure ‘Paul’ will be great! ‘Paul’ hits theatres on February 14th, 2011. This really cracks me up. Comedian, star of 30 Rock, and SNL vet, Tracy Morgan appeared on ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’. During the interview, Tracy Morgan goes onto an incredible rant describing scenes from Star Wars to host, Jimmy Fallon. Hilarity ensues.

You remember, when, when, Luke Skywalker… The ice monster, hit’em and he fell off his wap? And, then um, Han Solo was trying to get Leia and she called him a scruffy little nerf herder…

I have no idea what a “wap” is, but I think he is referring to a Wampa. Hit the jump and check out the whole rant!

Mondo x Alamo Drafthouse is well known for their amazing limited edition posters that they create for their premieres. One of my favorites this year would have been the variant Iron Man 2 posters by Tyler Stout. One of the worst things is that these posters are very limited and sold at the theatre during the premiere or online in which they sell out in mere seconds. Well, there is some good news. Mondo x Alamo has hooked up with the infamous, Sideshow Collectibles to provide their amazing posters to the masses.

“We’re very excited to join forces with Sideshow Collectibles, the leading collectible manufacturer. We’re working on several major licensed film properties that we will roll out via this partnership,” said Mondo Creative Director Justin Ishmael.

First limited edition poster that Sideshow will offer is for Disney’s TRON and TRON: Legacy. The original limited edition prints will be available via mondotees.com and the variants will be available on Sideshow’s online retail site. This is good news indeed. If these are anything like Mondo’s ‘Star Wars‘ or ‘Star Trek‘ posters, these will be sought out by collectors for years!

Well, that’s cute. Apparently, there is a huge problem with restaurant patrons urinating on the floor instead in the urinal stalls. To stop this, SEGA has gone out of its way to create a new gaming system called “Toirettsu” (トイレッツ) in which mini-games are played by pissing. PISSING!!?!!! The mini-games are played by measuring a player’s accuracy and speed of their urine stream. WHAT!?! There will be a variety of mini-games available such as using your urine stream to increase wind in the game to blow up a lady’s skirt. DA HELL!!!? These pissing games will be finding their way into restaurant and retailer’s rest rooms. I can imagine people getting sick from not peeing because they want to maximize their “ammunition” so they can set the high score at the ramen shop. Too bad for people with small bladders are S.O.L.

burtonssupermansuit

I cannot believe that stuff like this is still finding its way into the light. Gawd, I LOVE IT! A while back, there was a photograph that leaked of actor Nicholas Cage, in what appears to be a conceptual test suit of  director, Tim Burton’s vision of Superman. Well, after all this time, a video is leaked of another suit that was being developed for the now dead ‘Superman Lives‘ project. In the video, what we see (speculated) is a “regeneration” suit that Kal-El uses to heal himself after a near death brush with Doomsday. Many are calling this the “Eradicator” suit and by the looks of it, I can make the connection. Everything from neon lights to reflective material is featured on the suit. From the look of the face on the model, it looks like it was made for Cage. Keep in mind that these were tests so we do not know exactly what the end product would have looked like, but I can assure you that there would have been no faux nipple action on these suits. With ‘Superman Live’s dead and a distant memory, it is fun to be able to laugh and dream about what a Burton-style Superman could have been.
