We all know about SOPA and PIPA. We do not like it and people are voicing their opinion around the world and on the web. I’m not going to sit here and lecture you about it and I’ll leave that to the professionals. On the other hand, I can share this brilliant music performance video by the team at Laugh Pong titled “The Day the LOLcats Died”.

SOPA and PIPA are two examples of recent legislation that is lethal to the internet as we know it. The internet rose up and is on its way to successfully fighting them off, but we need to stay vigilant.
The only way to prevent legislation like this from being passed in the future is to call your Congressmen and tell them. Make it clear that you don’t support SOPA, you don’t support PIPA, and that you won’t support future legislation that damages the stability of the internet.

It’s true as Laugh Pong stated in the video. It will take more than blacking out your Tumblr page or getting angry on Twitter. Go online, get educated on whats going on (like at stopcensorship.org) and contact your local Senator. We can stop this madness. Thanks for listening minions.

Hit the jump and check out the video and a special thanks to the lovely Ms. Molly McIssac (@MollyMcIssac) (who is featured in the video) for showing me this awesome video!
