Yes, I do realize these were out in 2007, but I didn’t know about them and I figure why not post these on iGT. There must be others like myself who doesn’t know about these amazing ‘Star Wars’ steampunk art by Eric Poulton. Poulton may have been the first to put the steampunk spin on our favorite characters from Star Wars. Unlike Bjorn Hurri’s designs which was more animated, these have a much different feel and texture to it. Featured in black and white, Poulton’s steampunk Star Wars collection seems more like something you might see in a dream and much more Victorian-like (I hope that makes sense). One of my favorites from this collection has to be “Captain Ackbar” and “Massive Solar-Orbiting Electro-Mechanical Analytic Engine, Mark 6″. There is something about these illustrations that I find very whimsical and vibrant even though it lacks color. I think the black and white theme works in it’s advantage. Even though its over 5 years late, it still amazing to look at!
