Square Enix wants to rule the gaming world. If Square Enix can’t do it with their games, they are going to do it with their merchandise line. If you are a fan of Final Fantasy or Kingdom Hearts, you would have seen or bought an action figure with the label, Square Enix Products. What people don’t know is that majority of the earlier Square Enix brand figures was designed by SQEX and produced by figure/statue manufacturer, Kotobukiya. It wasn’t until mid last year that SQEX started producing their own. Since that moment, SQEX has taken their identity as a figure designer to another level. SQEX has only be known for making figures for their own games only, however recently Capcom has enlisted the help of SQEX Products to produce figures for Resident Evil 5. Couple people have seen the cool Play Arts ~Kai versions of Chris Redfield and Sheva. Apparently, this is not the end of SQEX producing bitchin’ figures outside of their games. Square Enix premiered the first look of their new Play Arts ~Kai action figures of Dante and Nero from Capcom’s Devil May Cry 4 and Bayonetta and Jeanne from Sega’s Bayonetta. With the recent change of  Eidos into Square Enix Europe, is it possible that we will see a Lara Croft get the Play Arts ~Kai treatment? I certainly hope so! It is very possible that Square Enix currently designs some of the greatest video game related action figures not only in Japan, but in the world. Im currently drooling over the Bayonetta.
