Good gawd I am jealous! When Star Wars artist Chris Trevas and his finacee Julie chose their wedding cake, they didn’t go for the classic 3 tier wedding cake covered in fondant and edible flowers. Instead, they called upon the services of master cake decorator, Courtney Clark of Cake Novueau (pictured above inbetween the Stormtroopers) to create them a one of a kind wedding cake that has been seen before. Courtney was requested to create a Star Wars Episode 5 The Empire Strikes Back dead tauntaun wedding cake, complete with a mini Luke Skywalker in Hoth gear tucked inside the stomach of the tauntaun. If Courtney seems familiar to you, it is because she was featured as contestants on Food Network’s Food Network Challenge and TLC’s Ultimate Cake-Off (which is nothing more than a sad rip-off of Food Network’s programing. Same goes with Cake Boss). I have seen many Star Wars cakes over the last few years and I would have to say this dead tauntaun wedding cakes is the most outrageous and bad ass cake I have ever seen. Great work Courtney and congrats to Chris and Julie!
