Can you consider robots cute and adorable? If you expecting anything close to WALL-E and EVE, you are sadly mistaken.
Developed by the National Taiwan University of Science and Techonology, two robots named “Thomas” and “Janet” are featured rehearsing for the theatrical play, The Phantom of the Opera. Stomach turning awkwardness ensues. The freakish faces on these robots (especially Janet) makes it looks like Leatherface meets Johnny-Five.
I am all for development of science and technology to better mankind, but 2 lip locking robots doesn’t seem to do anything, but make me want to toss up the tacos I ate for lunch. I’m going to file this under fail and try to erase the image from my fragile mind. /yack

Hey, ugly robots need love too.

So, wait a minute… we don’t have to progress as a society of scientists through adorable servant droids, to humanoid assistant/slaves, to murder-bots and then to sex bots? We can just jump straight to whichever one we want?!

I am in support of robogeishas, if only to have important and, yet, icky business and political leaders in an easily killable situation, Ghost in the Shell, style.
