Many of you know what Tokidoki is. Tokidoki (which means “sometimes” in Japanese), is the brainchild of Italian artist, Simone Legno. Tokidoki can best be described as a Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand that merges the art and fashion in one. Characters from the “Tokidoki” universe such as Mozzarella and his moofia, SANDy, Bastardino, and Adios (all creations of Simone Legno) can be found on high end designer products. Tokidoki has already designed and produced products such as purses (with LeSportSac), shoes (with Asics Onisuka Tiger), stationary (with Dark Horse), make-up (with Smashbox), toys (with Toys2R, Medicom, etc) , and others (There was even a Tokidoki soccer ball). Tokidoki has been infamous for their collaboration with other brands such as last years collaboration with Sanrio for the “Tokidoki x Hello Kitty” line.

Apparently, Tokidoki plans to start 2010 with a bang as they collaborate with comic and entertainment giant, Marvel. “Marvel x Tokidoki” will make a huge splash starting February of 2010 with the release of apparel featuring Marvel characters such as Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor with a “Tokidoki” twist. Apparel such as t-shirts (for men and female) and hoodies will be made. “Marvel x Tokidoki” even hooked up with baseball producers, New Era to create “Marvel x Tokidoki” “59Fifty” baseball caps. Simone started a buzz at San Diego Comic Con when he was sporting a Captain America 59Fifty cap. Hit the jump to see the designs!

Having worked previously for clients such as LeSportSac Sanrio, Medicom, Volkswagen, and MTV, Simone now brings his art to bear on the House of Ideas. Whether it’s a Kirby-esque Iron Man deflecting oversized, smiling bullets, a Cactus Pup chomping down on Spider-Man, or Steve Rogers delivering an All-American meal, tokidoki x Marvel puts a new, fun spin on Marvel’s classic, beloved characters. The Spring 2010 collection ships to customers in February 2010.
