I have been to a lot of conventions over the years and I would have to say that the female cosplayers at San Diego Comic Con 2009 really set the bar high this year. Considering the amount of different cosplayers I have seen over the years, I am rarely ever surprised, however, this year, I couldn’t keep my eyes off of them (yeah… I stared….).
Of course, there were the unavoidable horrendous cosplayers at SDCC that made me want to tears my eyes out with a Dr. Who sonic screwdriver, but the majority of the cosplay girls this year were brilliant and sexy.
One thing I always notice at conventions are the few characters that are popular choice among cosplayers every year. Even at this years SDCC, couple characters were found frequently around the event.
5 of the more common characters that I saw around the convention were:
5. Baroness from G.I. Joe (movie and classic versions)
4. Catwoman
3. Sexy Pikachu from Pokemon
2. Silk Spectre I from Watchmen
My favorite cosplay gals would have to be the Disney Princesses.
I don’t think anyone was really concentrating on the craftsmanship of the embroidery on their costumes, but more about the two-piece accessories that hangs off their chest. BTW, if you have better pictures of the Disney Princesses, send ‘em over to me.
I wish I was this lucky bastard.
